It’s been a while since my last newsletter post, and I want to start by apologizing for the silence. Over the past few months, I’ve been working on what I’ve affectionately called my Super Secret Project™, and today I’m excited to finally share the details of what I’ve been up to.
After writing my touch grass article, I found myself reflecting on how I can use this space to empower founders building the products that will drive mainstream blockchain adoption. Let’s face it—legacy media is dying. From publications shutting down to Diddy and enshittified web2 platforms with little incentive to care about creators or consumers, it’s clear that the traditional media model is in decline. As a result, I believe that the future of media is indie, creating a huge opportunity for blockchain to step in and reshape how content is created and consumed.
This shift is where decentralized media platforms can shine. They have a unique opportunity to rapidly grow by offering fairer economics to creators and relevant, high-quality feeds to consumers. As someone passionate about the future of media and creativity, I realized there was an opportunity to foster an ecosystem where innovators and creatives could come together, share their unique perspectives, and collaborate to bring bold ideas to life.
That’s why I’m thrilled to announce Party Ventures.
Party Ventures is an investment DAO I’m building in partnership with Hydra Ventures, focused on investing in next-generation startups across the media and entertainment spaces. We’re prioritizing Audio, Video, Creator, Social, and e-Commerce companies—areas I believe are crucial for driving mainstream blockchain adoption and empowering creatives. We’re targeting about $3-5 million to bring this vision to life, and I’m beyond grateful to Hydra Ventures for taking a chance on me and supporting this initiative. I also want to give a special thanks to Peter Pan from 1kx, who recommended me for this incredible opportunity.
What’s changing? Not much in terms of what you’ve come to expect. How to Find a Party and New Internet City will still remain the same—just now operating under the Party Ventures brand. This way, everything can grow together under one unified mission.
For founders and builders looking to raise for their projects, we’re not deploying funds just yet, but I’m always happy to chat in the meantime.
Party Ventures represents more than just an investment vehicle—it’s the culmination of everything I’ve been working toward, including the work I started with How to Find a Party and New Internet City. These initiatives will now be brought together under the Party Ventures brand, unifying my mission to create a space where creators, technologists, and entrepreneurs can find support, collaboration, and the resources they need to thrive.
I couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come, and I look forward to sharing more details with you all soon. Thank you for your patience and continued support as I embark on this new chapter.
