Exciting things are happening in the DAO with a bunch of new teams forming up this week and more to come soon! The KaramelaDAO is getting some structure in order to make collaboration and coordination across citizens / teams easier and more efficient
We now have the newly formed Strategy Team, which is going to be responsible for the mission / vision of the DAO and the execution around it! It will also help organize the DAO in a more efficient way, so projects can run seamlessly and with minimal organization upfront cost.
We also have an Onboarding Team, which will focus on onboarding new members and make their experience enjoyable! Sometimes it's easy to get lost in all the information that already exists on the discord, and as the community grows this problem will get bigger and bigger. But don't get frustrated - the onboarding team is here to help you!
We also now have a Karamela-101 channel in our discord with the most important links so you can get up to speed faster. Check it out!

Mission / Vision and other Ideas
This week during our community call we decided to have our first email course, which will be the first monetizable project of the KaramelaDAO. The goal is to create an email course with lots of interesting information around Web3, DAOs, cryptos, NTFs and so much more about this new and exciting space!

On another note, we had our first strategy team call, where the team focused around ways to organize the DAO in a more efficient way. The idea is to form some other core teams, e.g. finance team, marketing team etc, which will have distinct roles and will help support the foundation of the DAO.
Here is a quick summary of what was discussed in the strategy meeting by @Nick5:
Hey guys! For those of you who couldn't make it to the call, please find below what was discussed. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
We began by discussing that it would be beneficial for the Strategy team (and all other teams) to have a member that will act as the representative for that team. The responsibilities of that member will include to take quick notes during the call and compose the minutes based on the discussion as well as to be the first point of contact for everyone that wants to reach out to the team. I am happy to start doing that for our team. It might also be even better to have two people for that job so that they could cover each other when needed. Regarding the DAO teams, we propose that we can start with 8 core teams. These include: Developers/Software Engineers, Marketing/Business Development, Strategy, Finance, Creative, Merchandising, HR/Onboarding. We could start with this initial synthesis and keep adding new teams when needed. It was also proposed that within teams a role can be assigned to each member based on their skillset. This way it will be easier to assign tasks/projects to the DAO’s active members. An idea to make the DAO’s project operations more efficient is to build a network between the HR/Onboarding Team, Project Leaders and Team Representatives so that people could effectively join projects depending on their skillset and the project’s requirements. The nature of the network can be discussed. It could be a simple Discord channel or a more complicated database. Moreover, a discord “team channel” for every team can be created to facilitate communication.
Finally, we discussed that one of the main functions of the Strategy team can be to provide strategic advice and help citizens to effectively structure proposals for new DAO projects. The team can provide this service to active projects as well, when needed. We can discuss if/how we could monetize this service
Governance / Citizenship / Logistics
In the latest community call, it was also proposed to have a whitelist of people for the KaramelaDAO NFT citizenship, so the ones that are involved from the beginning to are guaranteed a place in the sweetest DAO in the world!
It was suggested to have a whitelist of the top 100 people (sorted by number of POAPs) that have at least 3 POAPs. So the more you attend the community calls and the more engaged you are the higher you will rank on this list!
What about ties? Well if we end up having 150 people, where the ‘last’ 60 have an equal amount of 3 or more POAPs then we can include all of them in our white list! At the end of the day the goal is to optimize over engaged citizens - not an arbitrary number!
Don’t forget to vote on the upcoming proposal!
Finally, we now have a Strategy Team after the latest proposal passed! This is really exciting, since we are now going to have a group of people dedicating their time to come up with the right strategy / mission to make the KaramelaDAO blow up into the Metaverse!

The latest proposal around forming a strategy team was the most popular proposal to date, with 12 votes all in total, all voting ‘for’ the proposal! Next goal is to 10x this count over the next few months!
