My Onchain Arstistic Process

Hello everyone!

Perhaps some of you already know me, so thank you very much for being here and following my job.

I tell you that:

I have had a very enriching process on web3 since 2021, and I am currently reviewing my onchain artistic process on a weekly basis..  Additionally, I am working with my team to create my first musical EP. You don't know how excited I am, I really hope it's a great job and that you like it. I feel like it's the next important step I need to take. During the last 8 months and with a weekly cadence, I share with the community important moments that are related to my music, whether they are video lyrics, performances, music videos, songs, song demos, promotion plans for songs, compilation QR codes... That is, everything that shows what I have been doing in artistic terms during the week.

The search to find my sound has been long and difficult. I decided to make music professionally a few years ago with little knowledge of the art and my participation in the production of my songs was a little limited by my inexperience in that area. For the last 2 years I have dedicated myself to learning about music production and although my learning process has been slow, now I understand many things about music. That I didn't understand before when I only dedicated myself to composing.

I like to create, I like to search for sounds, I like to experiment, know; and above all, and like every artist, I like that the ideas I have in my head come true in the most faithful way to the original idea. It may be artistic ego, but if I tell you that a song with sad lyrics needs a salsa piano, it's because I already imagined it would sound like this. It sounds strange doesn't it? It should be a piano for ballads or R&B, but my mind already told me that it would sound great, and it is possible that when I go to produce that song I will realize that it didn't sound as great as I thought.  However, what will make that process meaningful is the fact that I had the tools and the time to realize if it worked or not, I had the patience to try, because it's my song. This does not mean that I understand the process of creating as a one-person process. I have worked with excellent producers and artists who have given my best-known songs such as Reflejo, Yo Soy Dios and Luna, a sound and professional work that I can boast of. Maybe they wouldn't sound that way if I had had more involvement in that part, which is great, considering that at the time of creating these songs I knew almost nothing about music. The producers of these songs were responsible for me having these cool songs, and although they don't look like anything I imagined when I wrote the songs, it is true that their result was perhaps better than what I had in mind. I am very grateful to them.

But... Why is this so important?

My artistic life has been based on creating, learning and growing autonomously, even though you may find many errors in my process, I don't usually talk about this, but although it may not be notable for others, the truth is that I have made a lot of progress, and today I am grateful for being able to continue making music, there is nothing I like more than sitting for hours and hours producing a song. Songs like ¿Qué Más?, La Caja and Puedo Ser Mejor, among others, are part of my learning process in musical production and my weekly activity in which I show my on-chain art.

It is usually common on social networks for artists to often share their activities as musicians and/or singers. I think it's important to do the same on Web3. No matter how small or insignificant it may seem to us, seeing that process can serve as a reference for future artists or even current ones, because it is from these actions that we can encourage and grow a community where we support each other's work and get to know each other better. Recording an artistic story onchain is one of the best things I've ever done. I want my artistic process to be available to all people.

The creation of an EP will be the final result of the content I have discussed so far. An exercise that culminates with the selection of my best creations.

What do I want to achieve with this?

The entire process that I have carried out so far leads to some objectives that will help me strengthen my musical project, things are simple:

  • I want to work hard on building the sound of the songs that will be part of my EP, a job with the best possible quality. For that I need the participation of talented producers and engineers, who will help me take it to its best level. I will also need consistency in creating songs, which although not all will be on the EP, are part of an artistic strengthening exercise. I plan to record this process and leave an immutable record.I am an artist of trial, error and perseverance.

How do I think I can achieve it?

With your participation, you can keep an eye on my work every weekend to share and/or collect it, and also recently I showed the second demo of one of the songs on the EP, called ZEKE, for the moment, you can learn more about it here.

My team and I are working to structure a crowdfunding process where anyone who wants to support my work and play a desicive role as an Executive Producer in the creation of my EP, can do it. As I mentioned before, I want this project to have the best quality, and for that I will need the help of my community of help me hire producers and engineers.

This EP is a big experiment for me, flowing from idea, to demo, to its final sound.

Don't miss my process. Don´t sleep on Kasbeel!
