A few months back, the Braintrust community (myself included) proposed and passed a Snapshot that changes how client fees are handled on the Braintrust network. I’m not exactly sure why the protocol didn’t launch with this feature as it creates an important link between growth of the Braintrust network and demand for its token. The community obviously caught on and implemented the upgrade.
The Fee Converter was implemented by Snowfork, some of the core devs of the protocol.
The contract is here: https://etherscan.io/address/0x438e6416fe63863c434e4d6ee0c39d8f96880186
Tokens purchased by that contract are sent to Braintrust’s Governor Alpha / Timelock DAO, hopefully to be used for future protocol development.

I watched this development and thought that it might be helpful to have a simple log of the client invoices that make up each Fee Converter event. Nodes that submit fees (USDC) to the converter also submit a CSV file indicating which client invoices those fees represent. So I built a simple app that collects all those CSVs and ties them to the Etherscan transaction associated with the fee purchase. So now you can see actual client fees (USDC) purchasing BTRST via the Fee Converter contract right down to the specific invoice.
The site is here: https://fees.btrstinfo.xyz
It ain’t pretty but I enabled a download CSV feature so anyone can take the raw data and do whatever they want with it.
Enjoy!
