DCP: An EIP style Data Collaboration Public Infrastructure for Web3 Open Data Sharing and Co-building

DCP is an “EIP” style data collaboration public facility initiated by KNN3 Network and POD.

Hello builders!

We are thrilled to invite you to join a public data collaboration initiative to make web3 a better place for public data sharing and co-building.

DCP is an “EIP” style data collaboration public facility initiated by KNN3 Network and POD. DCP (Data Collaboration Proposals) describes standards for Web3 data collaboration, including data schema specifications, data source/structure for tracking & collecting, and data schema for decoding structured outcomes.

Vision & Mission of DCP

The main goal of creating a DCP is to allow wide web3 communities to understand and integrate web3 data schema collaboratively.

Stop reinventing the wheel

DCP helps web3 communities to discover & share data solutions that target specific problems, so web3 developers do not have to re-build duplicated data apps to solve the same problems.

Data acknowledgment & composability

DCP is an effective way to allow data providers/users to promote their data solutions with a clear specification of the data schema, it allows data aggregators/mix-dApps to conveniently integrate their produced data.

How does DCP work?

Any blockchain project, developer, or community is welcome to join us to create a new Web3 data world with DCP.

As a DCP author, you can either make improvements on existing DCP, or propose an entirely new one as long as it is a type of data schema standard to drive acknowledgment and composability.

We have a group of data professionals & web3 engineers who serve as DCP revisors. They assist DCP authors to revise proposals into collaborative-friendly public readable documents.

The key difference between EIP and DCP is that revisors in DCP don’t interfere with the actual content of the proposal, while the EIP curator committee decides a proposal's acceptance or rejection. KNN3 and POD got together to make this DCP as a public web3 infrastructure, so the process and content are data neutral and future agnostic.

Who is invited?

If you are:

  • developing/using a dApp/web3 protocol
  • data providers / aggregators / consumers
  • web3 data analysts/researchers

You are invited to create your own data collaboration proposal

→ share your data solution in DCP

→ let the web3 community know more about the value of your data solution

→ discover new opportunities to build upon existing data build block

“It all comes down to the database that sits behind an application. … If, on the other hand, the database is an open public database that is not controlled and administered by a single company, but instead is a truly open system available to all, then that kind of market power cannot be built up around a data asset.”

~ Fred Wilson

About KNN3 Network

KNN3 Network is a topological data solution for web3 builders to discover in-depth relationships among multi-blockchain. Additionally, KNN3 Network provides a composable and optimizable graph solution with seamless synchronization from live blockchains. Thus, web3 developers can build their d/Apps with real-time web3 social relation feedings.
