We released a new Developer Quickstart guide. It’s the easiest way to get up and running as a developer on Lens. In this guide, we show devs how to build a full-stack web application with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Lens Protocol in 15 minutes.
The Degrees of Separation module, which has already been implemented in Lenster and Orb, gives users full control over their data and social experience. When posting any user-generated content, you can determine who sees it, comments on it, collects it, or mirrors it. Enforced at the smart contract layer, this new module relies on a decentralized, community-driven approach to enhance the experience for all. We look forward to seeing more applications adopt the Degrees of Separation module in the coming months.
We have created a new testnet called Sandbox where you can develop and test your Lens modules. Check out the developer docs below to learn how to create your own modules.

Developers wishing to whitelist a module to the Lens Protocol should provide information and documentation about the Module. Below is a short summary of the relevant requirements and criteria:
General
Testnet
Mainnet
Additional questions about the whitelisting process or guidelines should be sent to onchain-request@lens.xyz.

We were truly blown away by the energy and talent in our LATAM developer community, and we can’t wait to get back next year!
Make sure to collect the exclusive Lens Devcon Bogotá Video to relive the highlights:
In Bogotá we partnered with TheGalleryDAO (@thegallerydao.lens) and StudioSelas (selas.lens) to make an AI art text-to-image contest where users could write prompts into a simple web application and they would get a wonderful illustration in return.

A type of proof of humanity based on POAPs. If you have the same POAP as a friend from Lens they are entitled to verify you as human. The more people that can verify you have the bigger your humanity score.
Bringing back the joy of owning a 90s pager device. Anyone who has a BEEP3R can broadcast messages to other BEEP3R owners and/or send encrypted DMs via XMTP to other wallet addresses.
Andreih.lens from Lensport (https://lensport.io/) made a new project which creates DAOs from Lens posts.
If you managed to grab the official POAPs from ETH SF (#82394) or Devcon Bogotá (#63182, #71954, #71957), you are eligible to claim a Lens profile. And a friendly reminder for those asking for a Lens profile, you might actually be eligible. Given that it’s based on your Web3 footprint, if you participated in DAOs, minted NFTs, collected POAPs, or attended a rAAVE.

We will also be at ETH India 🇮🇳 from December 2-4 in Bengaluru. Make sure to say 👋 to nader.lens and fabri.lens on the ground in India.
