a zesty future

My last week in Paris has been absolutely crazy, and I don't even know where to begin! But here's a quick summary for you:

  • Last Monday 17th, I said goodbye to my time at Backdrop with a heavy heart 😢

  • ETHCC was a massive event that blew my mind 👀

  • I made it to the finals at ETHGlobal Paris and showcased my project 💻 (Bubbles 🫧)

  • I'm feeling super positive about what the future holds ✨

Goodbye Backdrop 🏔

Let's start with Backdrop; it's been an incredible 1.3-year journey for me, working with some amazing folks like Rapha, Joey, Phil, and Kiana. And not forgetting aleena and LDF, who were there for part of the ride. You all have been such an inspiration to me, and this experience has been the perfect way to kickstart my web3 adventure. Together, we dreamt big, learned tons, and built some awesome initiatives. Oh, and in one of our in-person meetups, I even relearned how to ski! I wish you all the best, and you can count on me to be your number one lemon supporter!

Paris was 🔥

Now, let me tell you about my whirlwind week in Paris, although some parts are a bit hazy! 🙈 I didn't make it into ETHCC, but that didn't stop me from hopping from one side event to another. And guess what? I got the opportunity to pitch my project, Bob is Safe, to a bunch of VCs and got some incredibly useful feedback. The parties in Paris were wild, but my favorite gathering, as always, was the Farcaster one, where I met a bunch of cool peeps.

We won ETHGlobal with Bubbles 🫧

But that's not all! I also took part in ETHGlobal Paris, which was an absolute blast! It turned out to be the biggest one in Europe and the 3rd worldwide. And guess what made it even better? I teamed up with some awesome new friends I met on Farcaster! Our plan was to build something cool for our beloved decentralized social protocol. After brainstorming with the Farcaster community, we came up with Bubbles, a voice chats app for on-chain communities. We had a tight schedule, and after planning everything on Friday night, we spent from Saturday morning at 9 am to Sunday morning at 5 am coding like maniacs! It was a smooth ride, with Greg crafting a slick user interface and handling the front end, while I was busy with the backend. We integrated with Airstack and Sismo, and kudos to Daily.co, whose toolkit and infrastructure helped us ace the voice chats. The icing on the cake? We made it to the finals, which was totally unexpected! The moment we pitched Bubbles on stage, I was on cloud nine! I feel like this project hit the sweet spot, and I'm determined to keep building on it. Shoutout to my friends and family who cheered me on from afar through the live streams, and to my web3 pals in the audience during our pitch. You all flooded my Telegram, Twitter, and Farcaster with so much love. I'm incredibly grateful to have met each one of you during my crazy web3 conference trips in the first part of the year.

Forever thankful to urbe 🐺

Now, let's talk about my second family, Urbe. This community means everything to me right now. I know I might be biased since I'm one of the folks who helped start it, but it's more than that. Our growth has been exponential, but we've never lost our incredible vibes and alignment. ETHRome played a significant role in uniting us all toward a common goal. Every time we travel together as the infamous Urbe delegations, we push the boundaries higher, and this time was no exception. I owe a lot to Urbe; they played a crucial part in me becoming a finalist at the last ETHGlobal. I might have contributed to Urbe's growth, but they've also helped me grow as an individual. I see incredible things ahead for all of us.

About my future 🔜

As for my future plans, well, it's still a bit uncertain. I'll take some time to ponder over it, and I'm also craving a few days of total disconnection soon, but that moment hasn't arrived just yet. Bubbles is way too cool to ignore, and I'm definitely teaming up with my friend Greg to keep building it. And let's not forget about Bob is Safe, the project we started back in May during ETHGlobal Lisbon. Plus, ETHRome is just around the corner in two months, so I'll be putting even more energy into that final sprint. So, in a nutshell, I'll dedicate the next few months to work on my own projects and see where it all takes me!

That's the scoop for now! If you want to know more and catch up, you know where to find me.
