MetaMask and Linea

From inception, Linea was designed to be EVM equivalent. This means it was built to be completely compatible with Ethereum—But this is not Linea's only important point of similarity with MetaMask.

MetaMask and Linea both were developed by teams within Consensys. With the DeFi Voyage, users can explore the deep and seamless integration between the two products, which together have become a user's choice to interact with web3. Linea works with MetaMask right out of the box.

In fact, the MetaMask extension and mobile wallet come with built-in connections to Linea. You do not need to set up a wallet separately! The only thing you need to do is switch to the Linea network within the MetaMask interface.

Task to do

Core task: Bridge at least $20 of ETH using MetaMask Portfolio

Here's a concise step-by-step guide:

1. Ensure your MetaMask wallet is connected and select the account containing the tokens you wish to bridge.

2. Choose the network you want to transfer tokens from under the 'From this network' field

3. Specify ETH as the token you intend to bridge in the 'You send' section.

4. Select Linea as the target network to which you want to bridge ETH under 'To this network.'

5. Once you've entered the ETH amount you want to send, the aggregator will search for quotes. After completion, you'll see the amount of the token you'll receive on Linea.

6. Evaluate the quote, including its estimated timings and fees, by clicking the drop-down arrow on the right side of the quote. Keep in mind that the quote updates every minute to provide the most current information.
