Introducing: Lion Demos

Lion Demos is my music NFT project that consists of songs that I made on my phone starting as early as 2012. The songs are rough, unmixed, and unmastered recordings. I believe they have their own charm. I usually made the songs in a single day and so captured the feelings in that very moment.

Objectives:

·         Share my music and have fun

·         Find fans, collectors, investors and build a community

·         Make connections with creatives, devs, and others in the web3 space

·         Find producers who see the vision and want to help

·         Raise funds to get my songs produced, mixed, and mastered

Key to the Community:

The music NFTs will be the key to the gated community and will mean direct access to me through Discord, Telegram, etc. I hope that I will be able to collaborate and interact in many fun ways with the people who join.

Utility:

Music – each music NFT will contain one song

Airdrops – each holder of a music NFT will get airdropped a music NFT of the same song when it is finished, mixed and mastered. So it’s like a 2-for-1 deal!

Song Art – editions or generative 1:1s

Access – Exclusive access to merch with discounts

Contests – I plan on various contests for holders to win prizes

Roles – holding music NFTs and other NFTs, POAPs, etc. will earn certain roles

PFP – I have a plan for a PFP project that will be related to roles acquired

The people who collect this project will be at the ground level of everything afterward and I plan on rewarding the early investment in my career.

Multi-chain, Multi-media, Multi-release Project:

Different platforms and blockchains will be used for this project. Ethereum, Polygon, Flow, Solana, Tezos, etc.

Starting on Lens and Riff I will drop 4 songs. Depending on the platform, some will be editions, some 1:1, some OE but timed. I will be trying out different methods and experimenting.

Some drops won’t be music, just art. But it will all contribute to the story that I am telling. I will also be slowly rolling out a PFP collection, but it will be a bit different than normal. I will have more info on that part later.

What if they don’t sell out?

I am in web3 for the long haul. I see the technology and I know that it will be the future. I see the potential for so much creativity with it as well.

If my NFTs don’t sell then maybe the collector hasn’t entered the space yet. We are early after all. We represent a small minority of the population of the world. But things are moving fast and big companies are entering the space. I’m not worried.

It might mean the song isn’t hitting anyone’s feels and I need to change it dramatically or abandon it entirely. I’m prepared for this. I’m putting all of it out there, warts and all for people to see with the hope that it connects. If the words don’t connect or I’m not getting the feeling across with the simple tools I use then throwing money at it is not the answer anyway.

Not every song is a hit or a viral success. Some songs might only make sense for someone in a certain rare mood.

I have a growth mindset. Things on the blockchain are permanent but that doesn’t mean they are final. There are options post-mint. Just like all humans, we are all a works-in-progress. I like to think of songs that way too.

To start off this journey, I created a special “tour poster” for this project that you can collect as an NFT!

I might have to make some physical ones too if people like the poster and give them away to some lucky collectors. Let’s make the blockchain fun again!
