Last week, the $APT airdrop went crazy. People unexpectedly were airdropped free money worth at least $1000. However, some people are sad because they didn’t get free $APTs even though they are doing on-chain activities.

Being not eligible for the airdrop is not the end of the world. Unlike other L1s, Aptos has plenty dApps built on top of it. Obviously without token(s). Some of them are still on testnet - so you could be an early adopter. Here’s the list and what you can do to *potentially* get the rewards for being early.

Aptos Bridge

Aptos bridge is the first fully functional bridge between EVM and Aptos. You can send funds from/to Aptos, with the exception that you have to wait 3 days for an outbound transfer. It is powered by Layer Zero. May be we could get L0 token?

Strategy → Bridge assets from/to Aptos.

Pontem Network

A web3 studio behind Pontem Wallet and LiquidSwap. You can use it to do on-chain transactions, and to exchange Aptos assets respectively. Last year, they got fundraised from top VCs such as Delphi Venture and Mechanism Capital.

Strategy → Use Pontem Wallet, and swap, add liquidity, and bridge assets on Liquid Swap.

Liquid Swap bridge is a collaboration bridge between Pontem Network and Layer Zero. It’s 2 birds 1 stone.

AnimeSwap

An Anime-theme DEX on Aptos. The team recently announced that all of the initial $ANI tokens will be distributed via Airdrop. Get in before it was too late!

Strategy → Swap, add liquidity, and bridge assets on AnimeSwap.

Ditto Finance

A liquid staking protocol. You can stake $APTs to get $stAPTs staked version of Aptos’ coin. They just release the pre-mining program to mine the $DTO token by locking your $stAPT.

Strategy → Stake $APT and lock $stAPT

Tortuga Finance

An alternative staking protocol backed by FTX and Jump. They have higher TVL compared to other Liquid Staking Derivatives.

Strategy → Stake $APT and (later) use $tAPT on another dApp

Aptin

A lending and borrowing protocol. Think of it as Aave of Aptos. The project is still on testnet. You will be early anon

Strategy → Lend and borrow tokens on testnet

Aries Market

A DeFi suite built on top of Aptos. You can lend, swap, and trade using margin. Until now the project available on Devnet, so you can try it out before it launches on mainnet.

Strategy → Lend. borrow, swap, and trade assets on devnet

Mojito Market

A prediction market and also a DEX. They currently held a Retroactive Airdrop Competition to get $MOJO. It'll be ended soon on 27 October 2022.

Strategy → Participate on the Retroactive Airdrop eve

Lastly, you can create a 1-sequence strategy step that combines two or more protocols. Mine would be like this:

• Withdraw USDC to Metamask using LayerSwap (my favorite L2 on-ramp. also has no token)

• Bridge it Aptos Bridge

• Swap USDC for APT on AnimeSwap

• Take half of it swap and stake it on Tortuga and Ditto

• Swap the rest for USDC using LiquidSwap

• Bridge it back to Metamask via Pontem Bridge

Tips on Airdrop Hunting

Do not do it once. Otherwise, your wallet will be labeled as a Sybil wallet. Try and explore the above protocols. Use all of the available features. Be like a real user!
