Began my journey in July with a Hirst Currency... bought in fiat & with my credit card. Bridged it from Palm to Ethereum, a month later sold it for 13.5e. My first eth. And so it began...
Made a web3 Twitter alt to not mingle CT with my regular Twitter activity (which was and still is declining steadily since I joined in 2007).
Got a tip from a friend, minted an NFT for 0.1e and instantly flipped it for 0.7e. Became addicted and thought this is the standard in web3 (had to learn the hard way later: it's not).
Discovered @ArtBlocks_io and collected a lot of pieces by great generative artists such as @thomasp85, @mitchellfchan or @HerdbergJ. The thrill of a dutch auction and finding the perfect moment to mint—that was my summer & early fall. (Unfortunately this was also the time when the hype was massive & I minted a couple of projects which I should not have for that amount of eth.)
Also discovered PFPs and bought a @robotosNFT, @DeadfellazNFT, @cryptomutts, @peacevoid_world / Groupie. (Unfortunately also invested in too many PFP projects which went to zero.)
Bid in an auction on @withFND & bought my first generative 1/1, a work by @philipbell_.
Joined too many Discords with too many @everyone notifications and too little time.
Discovered #tezos and the great art community there, saw HEN go down. Assembled a small collection including works by @zancan and @jjjjjjjjjjohn.
Participated in my first airdrop ($ENS). And had to explain "free internet money" (and why that is not an accurate description) to a number of people.
Became hyped again for generative art after the @fx_hash_ launch. Could collect works by @lennyjpg, @mknol, @deviparikh and @ciphrd (fxhash genesis drop).
Unfortunately missed @zancan's fxhash drop and @MonicaRizzolli's @artblocks_io drop—two of my favorite art projects from H2 of 2021.
And going into 2022? Will still talk more about web3 & NFTs than any other topic. (And I'm very excited for the adoption of P2E mechanics.)
