Linda-a-Velha has venerated Nossa Senhora do Cabo since the distant year of 1763, the year from which Father António Xavier Ligeiro dedicated a beautiful Chapel to her, dating from the year 1780. The Chapel became insufficient for the religious life of this locality , for this reason Father Manuel Martins founded in 1996, the Church of Nossa Senhora do Cabo, together with a School of Music and Home for the Elderly.
