The ‘Mergulho da Baleia’ is located on the Passeio Marítimo de Oeiras between the Marina and Praia da Torre.

This artistic piece, which is already part of the Municipality's visual identity, was installed there in the early 2000s, with the signature of the sculptor Augusto Cid.

On the seafront and in plain sight, the huge sculpture does not leave anyone who passes by that place indifferent.

In 2020, the Municipality of Oeiras proceeded with the recovery, treatment and preservation of this monumental piece.
