A creator’s exclusive content is encrypted and published on their Lens profile such that only subscribers can view it.
Subscriptions are real-time money streams, and creators can set their own monthly fee on USDC.
It’s a clean UX on the MadFi app.

Set up your Subscription
Getting started with subscriptions on MadFi involves 3 easy steps.

We assume you have a Lens handle (fill out this form if not) and you have some MATIC on polygon, as well as some BaseETH if you want to set your subscription fee something other than 5 USDC / month.

We’ve added a new button to the Dashboard that takes you to your subscription page
And anyone with a Lens profile can visit their subscription page at https://madfi.xyz/creators/your-lens-handle.
For example, here’s the creator page for @madfinance.lens.

2. Create the badge for your subscribers
Every subscriber gets your custom branded Badge NFT, which grants them access to your gated content. It also allows them to accrues XP for incentivized social actions, but more on that in a future post.
To create your badge, scroll down on your subscription page to the button that says “Create Your Badge” or go to https://madfi.xyz/badges/create
To create your badge, you have to provide a prompt for us to generate a series of 10 AI-generated images (with Stable Diffusion). These images are used for the levels of your badge NFT - as users accrue more XP on your badge, they unlock the next image in the series.
In addition to your prompt, you can select a style preset to apply to the images generated.
Click “Generate Preview” to get an idea of what your series will look like.
If you’re happy with the preview, click “Generate Series”.
Finally, click “Create Badge” to initiate a transaction on Polygon which registers your badge on MadFi.
3. Set your subscription fee (optional) and welcome post
After you’ve created your badge, you’ll be redirected back to your subscription page.
It’s here at the top right where you can click “Settings” to open a modal…
… to set your subscription fee (monthly, USDC) and your welcome post to show newcomers. By default, your subscription fee is set to 5 USDC per month. If you want to change that, you’ll need to send a transaction on Base. If you need ETH for gas, bridge some using the official Base bridge.
Finally, setting your welcome post gives newcomers something free to see when they visit your subscription page. Just paste in a link to one of your Lens posts.
Start creating gated Lens posts
And with that, you’re done! You can start creating gated Lens posts for your subscribers.
Just type something up, upload some media, and click “Post”.
