Setting DIDs via Mail3

Guide

1. Visit app.mail3.me, click Connect Wallet.

2. Choose MetaMask or Wallet Connect to connect.

3. Click Check Wallet and Sign via Wallet.

4. Click your Mail3 address button (eg. mail3.bit@mail3.me) and select Settings.

5. Click Mail3 Address and you can set your .bit DID name. If the DID is not shown in the list, please try clicking Refresh .

6. Or when you write an email, you can also choose a DID identity that you owned.

FAQ

I have an ENS/DID, but I cannot find it on Mail3.

There are 3 situations that your DID cannot be resolved:

  1. The current address needs to hold the DID, not just resolve to its own address.

  2. DID with emoji;

  3. Your 0x address has more than 10 DID. If you have more than 10 DID, first 10 will be displayed;

  4. We're using Alchemy, there is a cache issue from Alchemy, please report it in 🔎|bug-issue with your 0x address on Discord.
