It has been a while since our last team update! We’ve been heads-down hacking away at the problem of decentralised commerce - on our mission to empower sellers, buyers and the devs that build for them in the online marketplace for physical goods.

What’s changed since we demo’d our prototype eCommerce app at EthCC last summer?

In brief

• we implemented the merchant on-boarding flow - which you won't see as a shopper, but allows us to start on-boarding merchants in an upcoming release

• we implemented a dashboard for merchants to efficiently manage their shop

• we implemented basic order management capabilities for merchants to track the status of orders received

• we bit the bullet and converted our tech stack to use CBOR, laying the foundations for consistency checks and proofs via merklisation, which we will implement to ensure that relays stay honest

• we spec’d out the encryption protocol for blinding relays to customers’ personal data (such as shipping address)

Phew! With all that under our belt, we still have a ways to go. The road is long, the infrastructure complex, and table stakes are high. But we’re committed to making it happen.
