9,169 Captainz. Any unminted Captainz will go to the Memeland Treasury.

Where do the other 830 Captainz go?

MVP airdrops (Captainz x 2), Golden Ticket Potatoz airdrops (Captainz x 1), and Memeland Treasury.

Who can mint?

Memelist, Potatoz, and Waitlist holders. There is no public mint.

PART II: DURING THE MINT

What is the structure of the mint?

The Captainz mint comprises 2 types: "Guaranteed" and "Non-Guaranteed".

Guaranteed:

As long as you pay the deposit of 1.069Ξ during the minting period, you will be allocated a Captainz, e.g., Memelist, Ticket Potatoz, 3X Potatoz holders.

Non-Guaranteed:

Even if you pay the deposit of 1.069Ξ during the minting period, you may not be allocated a Captainz, e.g., Potatoz holders, Waitlist.

Bonus:

As a token of appreciation, everyone participating in the mint will be rewarded Treasure Mapz (aka Mapz). The number of Mapz you receive is based on the number of Captainz you tried to mint, regardless of the number of Captainz you actually get in the end.

When will I get my Captainz?

The minting period will last for 48 hours.

If you are allocated a Captainz, the Captainz will be airdropped to your mint wallet within 24 hours after the minting period ends. You do not need to do anything.

If you are not allocated a Captainz, the refund will be claimable within 24 hours after the minting period ends. You have 69 days to claim your refund.

All unminted amounts will be refunded if you are allocated fewer Captainz than your deposit funds.

How many Captainz per wallet can I mint?

There is no hard limit per wallet. It is based on your number of Memelist, Potatoz, or Waitlist.

Which wallet do I use to mint?

If you are have a Memelist or Waitlist, the mint wallet is the wallet you submitted to us directly or via our Memelist partners.

If you are an MVP or Potatoz holder, the default mint wallet is the wallet that holds your Potatoz.

To promote security and good “wallet hygiene”, we allow MVP and Potatoz holders to edit their mint wallet. If you have multiple wallets holding MVP and Potatoz and submit the same mint wallet, those wallets will be linked and you can link a maximum of 3 wallets.

When you add a non-default mint wallet, all the “rights” of the linked wallets will be “transferred” to the mint wallet. In other words, you can only mint from the mint wallet but not the linked wallets.

Please note that any Potatoz in the non-default mint wallet will not be included.

Will there be a "gas war"?

Hopefully, the “gas war” is manageable:

• There is no public mint

• There are only ~18,000 eligible mint wallets

• Captainz mint is a non-traditional mint event, so each transaction uses lower gas

• MVP holders have MVP priority in the Captainz FCFS mint. There is no need to rush

• Memelist is a guaranteed mint. There is no over-allocation. There is no need to rush

• Holders of 3 Potatoz has 1 guaranteed mint. There is no need to rush unless you want to mint more

If I have a Memelist, how do I mint?

Memelist is a guaranteed mint. It is the highest priority.

As long as you pay the deposit of 1.069Ξ during the minting period, you will be allocated a Captainz.

You do not need to rush.

If I have Potatoz, how do I mint?

Potatoz is a non-guaranteed mint and a "First Come, First Served" (FCFS) mint. Its priority is below Memelist.

You should come as early as possible during the minting period and pay the deposit of 1.069Ξ. You will be allocated a Captainz based on the timestamp that we receive your fund, first come, first served.

The FCFS mint allocation goes in “rounds” and only allocates 1 Captainz per mint wallet per round to ensure a fair chance for every Potatoz holder.

As an added benefit, if you have 3 Potatoz, you are guaranteed to mint 1 Captainz.

If I have a Ticket Potatoz, how do I mint?

Ticket Potatoz means you have an extra Memelist. You can still mint the Captainz based on the number of Potatoz you have.

If I have a Golden Ticket Potatoz, how do I mint?

Golden Ticket Potatoz means you will be airdropped a Captainz for free. You can still mint the Captainz based on the number of Potatoz you have.

If I have a Waitlist, how do I mint?

Waitlist is a non-guaranteed mint and a "First Come, First Served" (FCFS) mint. Its priority is below Memelist and Potatoz.

You should come as early as possible during the minting period and pay the deposit of 1.069Ξ. You will be allocated a Captainz based on the timestamp that we receive your fund, first come, first served.

Due to the overwhelming support, it's doubtful you will be able to mint a Captainz with Waitlist—you can still try, though.

To avoid abuse, 1 mint wallet can only have 1 Waitlist. If you only plan to "farm" the Treasure Mapz, we do not recommend you to gas up to mint.

If I have a combo of Memelist, Potatoz, and Waitlist, how do I mint?

You just mint the amount you want and are eligible to mint. Our system will take care of the calculation when we do the airdrop.

PART III: AFTER THE MINT

Which wallet will I receive the Captainz?

Your mint wallet.

Which wallet will I receive the Treasure Mapz?

Your mint wallet.

When is the reveal?

Like Potatoz, Captainz has a non-traditional reveal process.

Unlike Potatoz, it is a newly designed mechanism with more fun and rewards!

There are 4 stages:

Stage 0—Unrevealed Chest:

First, you will get an Unrevealed Chest. There is no rarity at this stage, and the NFTs are not yet unique.

Stage 1—Revealed Chest:

In 1-2 weeks, Questing (a soft staking) will be launched. You can un-cloth your Chest to reveal which type of Chest you get. You will also be able to form a pirate crewz with a maximum of 1 Captainz & 3 Potatoz to start to earn the Treasure Mapz (aka Mapz) weekly. There is rarity at this stage, but the NFTs are not yet unique.

Stage 2—Jolly Roger:

After another 4-6 weeks, you will be able to unbox your Chest to see what Jolly Roger you get. Like an actual pirate flag, your Jolly Roger is the face of your pirate crewz, representing the honor, laughter, blood, and tears. There is rarity at this stage, and the NFTs are unique.

Stage 3—Captainz:

In [redacted] weeks, the Captainz character will be revealed. It's designed by [redacted], the lead artist of a global manga, anime, and game franchise. Your Captainz character inherits the traits of your Jolly Roger plus additional traits. Again, there is rarity at this stage, and the NFTs are unique.

Every stage is manually revealed—you can decide whether you want to reveal your NFT and proceed to the next stage.

What is Treasure Mapz?

Treasure Mapz are maps that mark the location of buried treasure, a lost mine, a valuable secret or a hidden locale.

There are 5 types of Mapz:

• Mythical

• Epic

• Magical

• Extraordinary

• Special

Rumour has it they are secretly related to $MEME, valuable NFTs, special utilities, and more!

The Mapz that you receive during the minting period are linked to your mint wallet.

The Mapz that you receive during Questing are linked to your Captainz.

Mapz is not an NFT yet, so you cannot move or trade them at the moment.

What intellectual property rights do holders receive?

Owners of Captainz have full commercial art rights for the Captainz NFT they own.

What is the creator fee (royalty) and how will they be used?

9%.

The proceeds will be used to buy lambos, yachts, and private jets for the team.

Jokes aside, we will use the fund to hire more full-time team members, fund operations, set up a DAO, and deliver more value to our community.
