Having introduced Mercedes-Benz NXT, the creative studio 0xNXT, and our perspective on collectibility and predictability (see this Mirror post), we’d like to share our vision, long-term approach, and structure today.

For over 130 years, Mercedes-Benz has been driven by the same progressiveness and ambition to push the limits of technologies that power the burgeoning Web3 culture. We aim to create something meaningful, honoring the community that has evolved around digital objects.

Our vision: to create digital objects that stand the test of time.

With these digital objects, we want to explore a larger narrative but also not let that narrative limit us creatively. That’s why we’ve introduced the framework outlined in our previous Mirror post and detailed more thoroughly on our website.

Mercedes-Benz NXT digital objects are created as art and collectibles. They should not be purchased with future benefits in mind, but instead, be collected for the enjoyment of collecting.

The formation of Mercedes-Benz NXT and 0xNXT marks a long-term commitment to blockchain-based digital objects, as well as the first time that Mercedes-Benz has actively teamed up with an official partner for their portfolio of digital objects.

To build the creative studio 0xNXT, Mercedes-Benz has joined forces with their long-time creative partner Omnicom and a team of NFT enthusiasts who have been active in the NFT collector community for years. 0xNXT is a dedicated legal entity. For the first time, this structure enables Mercedes-Benz to participate in this space with a long-term strategy and the necessary resources. The scope of Mercedes-Benz NXT spans all of the Mercedes-Benz brands and product portfolio.
