I visited BrightMoments NYC in Manhattan and verified my World ID at the Orb, Worldcoin’s biometric iris imaging device. The verification was seamless and involved scanning a QR code with the World App on my phone (which I had already set up) and then simply looking into the Orb’s camera, from a few inches away… the whole visit took less than two minutes. The Worldcoin cryptocurrency (token: WLD price: $1.44 USD) is not yet available for U.S. users, but the other components of the identity and financial network are.
