AMA Recap: Exploring Mint Testnet and More with MintCore team!

1. Hello, please introduce yourself and Mint Blockchain

Hello Everyone, I’m Rose, head of Ecosystem Development at Mint Blockchain, happy to be here!

2. Can you clarify the relationship between NFTSCAN and Mint Blockchain?

Sure. NFTScan Labs is a developer organization focused on the NFT field, founded in March 2021. The core members of NFTScan Labs have been involved in the blockchain industry since 2016, with rich development experience and cutting-edge industry insights in areas such as crypto wallets, blockchain security, on-chain data tracking, DeFi, oracles, and NFTs.

Currently, NFTScan Labs operates three core businesses: NFTScan infrastructure, Mint Blockchain L2 network, and NFTScan Labs' investment and incubation for Web3 developers, supporting the early development of some high-quality web3 projects. Therefore, NFTScan and Mint Blockchain are parallel projects, both developed by the NFTScan Labs team.

3. What incentives are available for Testnet users?

Certainly, we have several testnet quests and community activities during testnet, and active participation will lead to future airdrop rewards.

what we expect from the Mint community include:

  1. Keep an eye on the upcoming Mint Forest activity for future MINT airdrop rewards;

  2. Test quests will be closely tied with the Mint Forest. Please stay tuned to our official Twitter updates and continuously participate in Mint Forest, as it will be an interesting testnet task.

4. Will there be MINT rewards for testnet participants without Mint Pass?

As long as you participate in the Mint Forest event, you will receive rewards.

For Mint Pass holders, including Mint Genesis NFT holders and MintID holders, there will be additional bonuses for participating in Mint Forest. Specific quests will be closely tied to the Mint Forest. Please refer to the official Mint Forest introduction which will be released in March on how to participate and the specific additional benefits or say extra weight for NFT holders.

5. Why is it currently not possible to bridge NFTs in the testnet phase, unlike other L2 platforms that only allow bridging $ETH test tokens?

Absolutely! To build a strong NFT layer2 network ecosystem, Mint Blockchain will also support the NFT asset bridging across chains.

We are currently cooperating with relevant ecosystem projects, and the collaboration details will be available soon.

6. How can developers integrate Mint Layer 2 into their DApps?

Absolutely, we welcome developers to deploy DApps on Mint Blockchain. Developers can find detailed instructions on how to deploy on the Mint network in the developer documentation on the Mint blockchain website. Additionally, you can also submit the ecosystem form to add your Dapps, and we will promptly get in touch to address any development-related queries.

Currently, crypto wallets that already support Mint Testnet include Metamask, imToken, and TokenPocket. There will be related events launching soon on Mint Forest, so stay tuned!

7. Are there plans to develop an infrastructure platform for communication between EVMs, facilitating easy NFT transfers between networks like Cosmos and Ethereum L2s?

As an L2 network focusing on the NFT ecosystem, our core vision remains to unleash the true potential of the NFT market, expand NFT application scenarios, and innovate in NFT asset standards. At the same time, to serve a broader community and developers, we are open to more consensus mechanisms, not only to support NFT asset cross-chain on the Ethereum network but may also to expand support to heterogeneous networks such as the Bitcoin network and the Cosmos network.

8. What role does the $MINT token play within the Mint Blockchain ecosystem, and how does it enhance platform functionality?

MINT is the native asset of Mint Blockchain, and it will play an irreplaceable role in network governance, ecosystem developer incentives, and exclusive usage in the Mint Blockchain ecosystem.

9. Which NFT projects are scheduled to launch first on Mint Blockchain, and what unique features or innovations can users expect from these projects?

The first two native projects to be launched are Mint Forest and MintPool. In the future, there will be more NFT use cases, MintSwap, NFT reputation systems, NFT hardware devices, etc., as well as new NFT interaction methods and new NFT rights packaging.

10. What upcoming plans and developments are in store for Mint Genesis and mintID holders, and how will their roles evolve within the Mint Blockchain ecosystem?

Mint's native dapp, Mint Forest, is soon to be launched, offering direct empowerment to Mint Genesis and MintID NFT holders. It's crucial for Mint Genesis NFT and mintID holders to participate in Mint Forest to enjoy significant reward boosts.

Additionally, the MintPool product will also be launched soon. MintID holders can lock in their MINT airdrop rewards in advance by staking their MintID NFTs.

11. Can users expect the introduction of decentralized exchanges (DEX), GameFi platforms, and other decentralized applications (DApps) on Mint Blockchain? If so, what timelines or milestones can they expect?

Yes, Mint Blockchain will definitely feature protocols and applications related to DeFi and NFTFi. Regarding GameFi projects, we are keeping a close attention, especially in the realm of FOCG, and may prioritize the introduction of certain projects.

Furthermore, there will be numerous NFT use cases and innovative NFT asset issuances. All DApps launched or supported by Mint will be showcased on the Mint Ecosystem page. Currently, there are over 30 Mint ecosystem projects, with continuous expansion, and we will regularly synchronize the latest projects with the community.

12. Could you please provide an overview of the Mint native dapps, Mint Pool and Mint Forest?

  • MintPool is the native staking infrastructure introduced by Mint Blockchain. It supports staking services for MintID NFT, $ETH, and $MINT assets, providing validator node services for Ethereum and the Mint Blockchain.

  • Mint Forest is an online green credits activity initiated by the official Mint Blockchain to welcome the $MINT airdrop and will officially launch in March.

13. What are Mint Blockchain's perspectives on inscription technology and its competitiveness?

The core of inscription technology lies in fair launch and complete on-chain data. We believe that inscription itself is a form of NFT asset, and we highly endorse the mechanism of on-chain metadata for NFTs. Fair launch is usually an effective cold start solution in most cases, which we highly appreciate. Perhaps, in the future, many NFT assets will also be issued through fair launches.

The core competitiveness of Mint Blockchain lies in our team's high recognition and belief in NFT assets. We firmly believe in the vast future development prospects of NFTs, which will undoubtedly change many ecosystems. Additionally, we have the capability to build comprehensive developer-friendly solutions around NFT assets, ranging from NFT issuance, trading, storage, indexing, and providing a one-stop NFT solution for Web3 developers.

14. What does Mint's Roadmap look like for the near future?

We plan to host our first offline event in Hong Kong in April, if you are around Asia, welcome to join. In Q2 2024, we will launch the Mainnet, and followed by the launch of the MRC assets library in Q4.

In Q2 2025, we will release the MetaLayer distributed storage layer.

We have many plans, including exploration in the AI field, and we will gradually disclose them to the community in the future.

Stay tuned!
