CHATGPT is a chatbot developed by OpenAI, powered by AI. Its sudden rise in fame also brought the concept of AIGC (AI Generated Content) under the limelight, with numerous firms and tech giants tapping into AIGC for impending transformations. But how does this all really relate to Web3? Drumroll please…
In the Web3 industry, we believe that the upcoming trend this year would be the integration of AI into NFTs, enabling the creation of distinctive and intelligent experiences that were previously impossible. A handful of firms have already entered the scene (we’re late we know LOL). For instance, XANA introduced the first AI-powered NFT collection back in July 2022. More recently, Alethea AI, a firm dedicated to combining generative AI and blockchain technology, created intelligent NFTs (iNFTs) that allow users to create an NFT embedded with AI animation, voice recognition and generative AI abilities. The eventual objective of Alethea AI is to create a vivid NFT community and environment, where NFTs are no longer static visual images, but characters that can interact with one another and their surroundings.
We find this work extremely fascinating!! As an online community for Web3 natives, we emphasize on genuine interaction and an immersive community experience. With the possibility that NFTs could become characters that talk and listen to you, it just brings more vitality and reality into this industry. We love to see our members socialize with one another (Oh I’m a social queen for sure), and now the possibility that we could interact with our NFTs is just mind-blowing (I mean…who cares about a picture of an ape, we need a talking ape, right…??)
More traction is picking up this year, with the recent launch of a new product by DexKit that allows users to create unique AI-generated art and instantly mint it onto a variety of blockchains. This opens more doors for artists and individuals who are interested in creating NFTs but lack the appropriate tools. Additionally, Miidas NFT, one of the biggest NFT marketplaces, has announced its partnership with OpenAI, in which they will be launching a new feature that allows users to create unique collections with AI and sell them on the marketplace.
These are all telling signs that we can’t ignore!! AIGC will continue to be a rising trend in the coming years, and its influence and integration in the Web3 industry will only strengthen. Hopefully, we will have a talking NFT in our community soon ^_^
