To ensure high-quality, consider the following:

• A professional-grade camera with 4K capabilities

• A stabilizer or tripod to ensure smooth footage

• Microphone (if recording voices)

🎥 Shoot

Audio + Light

• Don’t worry about recording audio if you’ll add a soundtrack

• If you intend to record people, use a microphone (Important!)

• Record lots of 5 to 10 second observation shots

• Avoid harsh or direct light that cast shadows or overexpose the subject

• Seek all-around ambient light sources to enhance the visual appeal - but do not ask the venue to switch on extra lights.

Composition

• Take observational and atmospheric shots of the venue, decorations and panoramas

• Take some close-up shots of conversations and interactions between participants to provide depth.

• Use different locations, angles and movements for variety

• 0 to 0.03 → Video intro

• 0.03 to 0.04 → Logo fades in

  • Logo is 416px or 20% wide and centred

• 0.04 to 0.06 → Text [City below logo, day of the week below that ·example· ]

  • Fade in, horizontaly centered

• 0.07 to 0.07 → Logo + Text disappears (no transition)
