TownHall Socials are an opportunity to meet, share info, socialise and strengthen ties. Held once per month.

Etiquette

  • Use a laptop in a quiet environment (no cell phones)

  • Reception of 10 minutes for greetings

  • 🎤 Start with your mic on mute. Feel free to use chat

  • 🎤 Switch on your mic once invited by the Speaker

  • Raise a 👋 to open your mic

  • It’s okay to leave early (but please don’t be late)

TownHalls usually have a theme to cover. Often this is about event ambience or strategies for Ambassadors. - 15 mins

🔥 The Round Table

In order to keep the meeting short each member may submit up to 2 questions. Please explain your question in under 1 minute.

(!) Managers please avoid questions relevant to an Academy Scrum. - 15 mins

No rules. Just socialise, whine, gossip, joke. - 10 mins

  1. Welcome. 10 minutes social time for personal greetings

  2. News: Incoming/outgoing team members, new features, events and accomplishments.

At the end of the last TownHall, notes and an Action Plan were posted into the Embassy with the heading "#TownHall Notes - [DATE]" Read these out and discuss if pending or resolved with corresponding members.

🌱 New · Today (30m)

  • 🌿 Training Park: Experienced Members or Leads take an 8 minute slot to bestow useful information or gems of wisdom to the group.

  • 🔥 The Round Table: Member’s 3-minute questions (or statements), prompting responses from other members who can raise a hand and have 5 minutes to respond.

  • 💫 Summary: Final thoughts from experienced Managers. Action Plan (scribe!). What's working/not working. Suggestions from the team.

Close Scrum (10m)

  • 💪 Announce the Action Plan

  • ☕️ Coffee Chat (Off-Topic)

  • Scribe take a "screenshot selfie" of the meeting

  • Goodbyes - “Thankyou” to the Speaker and Scribe!

  • Post Scrum Notes + Photo to the Room, give credit to the Speaker and Scribe.
