You have now arrived at Neknel, the home of the project 𝒲𝒾𝓈𝒹𝑜𝓂𝓈 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝒩𝑒𝓀𝓃𝑒𝓁, a gamified exploration of a speculative reality where $WISDOM is a currency, built by artist collective Keiken. 𝒲𝒾𝓈𝒹𝑜𝓂𝓈 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝒩𝑒𝓀𝓃𝑒𝓁 employs artificial intelligence and blockchain technology to test-drive possible futures.

Neknel has been created by Keiken to explore protopian systems for society. In Neknel, thanks to advanced technology, consciousness is no longer limited to the physical realm, supporting the expansion of wisdom and understanding. There are no jobs here, only cosmic goals and shared purpose.

Currency is a tool that can change the gameplay of our reality. Wisdom is knowledge unbounded by matter and space. Like a catalyst, it sparks change but never expires. No matter its roots or language, it is a timeless reflection of human experience that comes with learning.

If we based our economies upon such a powerful life-force, how would the gameplay of our existence be altered?

The Collection 💫

To create a new currency for Neknel, Keiken will initiate a series of conversations with experts from diverse fields who have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of wisdom. These experts, ranging from cognitive psychologists to techno-scientists, will participate in Wisdom Seeds that will take place on Twitter Spaces and be archived online as a freely accessible resource. The objective of these conversations is to unveil the fundamental truths and wisdom that underpin our base reality.

Beletnom, the benevolent caretaker of Neknel, will read these conversations and synthesise a unified reservoir of knowledge. From this, Beletnom will craft distinct Wisdoms - succinct yet impactful passages that encapsulate a contemplation, insight, or inquiry.

From these, we create the Wisdom Vessel NFTs. Each vessel will incubate a single Wisdom, with unique generative artwork based on the content of the text. The generative artwork of each vessel is distinctive and derived from the content of the text.

Once minted, all of the Vessels will generate $WISDOM, the first currency of Neknel. Each holder of a Wisdom Vessel NFT will be able to claim $WISDOM over time.

When the collection is launched, there will be 0 $WISDOM, but as the project evolves more will circulate, allowing for the blossoming of a $WISDOM economy.

What is Neknel?

Neknel is a speculative world imagined by Keiken. Neknel is self-governed and self-generative, fuelled by human, animal, and plant wisdom.

Who is Beletnom?

Beletnom is an AI caretaker programmed for long term solutions, with a philosophical code that is frictionless and imperceivable. Beletnom keeps all of the systems of Neknel in balance, allowing its citizens to live a life of play and pursuit of spiritual goals.

What are Wisdom Seeds?

Wisdom Seeds are a series of conversations led by Keiken with leading thinkers and luminaries that have influenced their practice. Wisdom Seeds are recorded and transcribed, which in turn make up the data-set for training our AI (Beletnom) to generate new Wisdom. Wisdom Seeds will be archived online as a freely accessible resource.

What are Wisdom Vessels?

Wisdom Vessels are unique generative ERC721 NFT artworks, algorithmically generated from Wisdoms created by Beletnom.

What is $WISDOM?

An ERC20 that will be generated by the Wisdom Vessels. Holders of Vessels will be able to harvest $WISDOM over time.

Who are Keiken?

Keiken is a multidisciplinary artist collective based between London and Berlin. Keiken’s collective name is taken from the Japanese word for experience; the lived experience being an idea at the core of their practice. They are collaboratively building and imagining a Metaverse to simulate new structures and ways of existing and to test-drive possible futures. They create new and speculative worlds through filmmaking, gaming, installation, Extended Reality, blockchain and performance. Through these varied mediums they explore how societal introjection governs the way we feel, think and perceive. Keiken is a recipient of the inaugural CHANEL Next Prize and their game Morphogenic Angels will be released later this year.
