The Not Another Virtual Hackathon (NAVH) by Consensys, taking place from July 6 to September 6, 2023, is more than just a competition. It's a platform for learning, growth, and innovation that champions web3 builders from around the world.
NFTSYD is proud to be an official community partner for this event, underscoring our commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration within the web3 community, both locally and globally.
The NAVH is a golden opportunity for the global web3 community to innovate, collaborate, and compete for a prize pool of $115,500. The hackathon celebrates web3 developers, NFT artists, students, community builders, product specialists, and futurists, empowering them to make a meaningful impact through innovation, blockchain, and collaboration. Whether you’re a developer, a designer, an entrepreneur, or a visionary with an idea that’s ready to shake things up, this hackathon is for you.
The hackathon features a $115,500 prize pool up for grabs across five technical challenges:
To Infura and Beyond: $10,000 Prize Pool
Mobile Fun with MetaMask SDK: $18,000 Prize Pool
IYKYK Linea Edition: $25,000 Prize Pool
OH SNAP!: $25,000 Prize Pool
Make a Dapp That Slaps, No Cap: $37,500 Prize Pool
Each challenge requires participants to leverage Infura,
and Linea in unique ways to create innovative solutions.
The more integration points with Infura, the better, but trivial use cases won’t get you much, so make sure you use each service meaningfully.
The hackathon is headlined by esteemed judges including Parker Jay-Pachirat, Co-founder of BoysClub and Investor, Joe Lubin, Co-founder of Ethereum and Founder of Consensys, Medha, Founder of She256 and Investor at Variant Fund, and Maggie Love, Founder of SheFi. The mentors include Anett Rolikova, Developer Relations at Hyperlane, Kristjan Bajuk, Web3 Developer at Qvrse.io, Peter Yinusa, Lead QA Engineer at MetaMask, Consensys, and Emily Lin, Developer Relations at Consensys.
The NAVH offers a comprehensive workshop series designed to cater to builders of all levels and backgrounds. The workshops cover various topics, from learning Web3 to mastering the art of pitching your project. These workshops are available exclusively to hackathon participants, providing a unique opportunity for learning and growth.

Watch the opening ceremony to get a gist of it.
As an ex-hackathon participant, I'd suggest including as many of the stacks and deployment requirements as possible to increase your chance across as many prize pools as possible. Use case-wise, anything that's backed with proper research, data, and proof that it's really needed is going to be amazing. If cross-chain zk is something that you're interested in, why not? But make sure you have the needed background data/case study that shows an understanding of the problem or if it's not already widely solved.
Let's shape the future of web3 together!
