Polygon is no stranger to the Galxe community. Everyone’s favorite Galxe OAT (On-chain Achievement Token) has been the top ERC-721 contract on Polygon since its inception in 2022. What you might not know is that Polygon also has built a big and exciting DeFi ecosystem. Polygon uses a combination of technologies such as Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility, proof-of-stake consensus, and smart contracts to provide a scalable and secure infrastructure for decentralized finance (DeFi) projects. It aims to address some of the scalability and usability issues that have been a challenge for Ethereum and other blockchain networks, such as high transaction fees and slow transaction times. The network also supports interoperability with other blockchain networks, allowing for the seamless transfer of assets and data across different blockchains. To date, Polygon is powering and helping a total of 674 DeFi projects grow and scale!
