Axie Infinity, the NFT game that was gaining speed during the middle of the Pandemic in 2020 is starting to lose major steam. Hitting an active monthly user count of ~700k, which represents a 74% drop to what the count was in January 2021, Axie is feeling the bear market effects, amongst other things. Apparently, game mechanics have also been a factor in users dropping off. What was a game that was bringing income for some that was higher than the minimum wage in some countries, seems to be cooling off due to NFT’s sinking during this strong bear market.

~700k monthly users and its still ~75% lower than ATH’s?? I think this should prove how popular blockchain gaming still is in the world. To be able to earn money just for playing games is amazing and hoping other traditional gaming companies get into the business!
