Social media is great, I love watching my friend’s tiktoks; also entire economies have been created off these platforms. But they have a problem, they’re disconnected. You can have 10,000 followers on twitter, but only 20 on IG, which is a big problem when building a community.
Well, that’s one of the major parts of decentralized apps, but it’s not perfect. We’re currently facing a huge UX problem with onboarding users into crypto spaces. However, there are a bunch of smart people working really hard (also me 😆) to bridge the gap between web2 and web3. Let’s see what they’re up to:
RainbowKit is a developer tool that allows users to easily connect their web3 wallet to a website. Using their NPM Package, the toolkit takes all the complexity of user authentication when coding a website. Using their guide, a creator should be able to add this feature to their website!
Coinbase makes buying and selling cryptocurrency easier than grabbing fast food from a drive-thru. Their centralized exchange has most common cryptos, and their tutorials actually give free currency for completion!
ARThentic is helping artists enter web3 by teaching them about NFTs. Their goal is to free the finances of every artist so they can focus on creating masterpieces. Full disclosure: I’m currently working at ARThentic to produce the Creative Blocks NFTs, a 10K PFP series that unlocks a Web3 Artist Dashboard.
As more users enter web3, we’ll be creating something called the semantic web. Basically, imagine the internet, but completely categorized and organized. This will allow us to do way more work on the internet (not that I don’t already do that 😆) and also share content in novel ways. You might be buying your next Big Mac with bitcoin. Essentially, your web3 world will become a new operating system for reality.
I’m trying to post more, so stay tuned for more articles. I would love to hear your thoughts, please message me on twitter @nikhildesigns_
