Nodle’s Partnership with Lens Protocol Sets the Stage for the Future of Verified Media via the Click App on Web3 Social Networks

Click’s authenticated photos and videos aka “Deep Reals” will soon be shareable in the growing Lens Web3 social platform and both Lens and Click will expand to ZKsync’s Elastic Chain in the months ahead

Click, a new mobile app to fight misinformation by making it easy to capture and publish authenticated content, powered by the Nodle Network, is partnering with Lens Protocol, an open social platform that allows for content ownership. The partnership will enable a new “Share to Lens” integration that enables Click photos & videos, aka "Deep Reals" with immutable digital proofs of authenticity, to be shared across the Lens decentralized social web. Click’s integration with Lens will be available via the share menu from the Click mobile app on iOS and Android and also the Click website at clickapp.com.

The world is experiencing a flood of misinformation fueled by generative AI. Together with Click, Lens Protocol is setting the stage for verified media to gain more distribution. The partnership will allow verified images captured on Click to be published onto Lens Applications. Click allows anyone to capture verified content and Lens Protocol allows that content to be distributed and shared in a verified way. Together anyone with a smartphone can have a trusted voice that can change the world. Photos and videos shot with Click enable anyone to confirm the content was captured at a specific location and time, via a specific mobile device and camera, and is authentic, not AI-generated or altered.

Clicks shared to Lens will be implemented as Lens Frames, a specification derived from the Open Frames standard. This will allow for social engagement, including likes, reposts and comments, and potentially new use cases as third-party developers come to develop new Frames. Clicks shared on Lens will also enable the content capturer to maintain their ownership as the media is further consumed and shared on Lens. When media is captured on Click, it is signed with a C2PA manifest and a reference is uploaded on-chain. The latest block hash of the blockchain is included in the image metadata as the proof of time. This cryptographic proof is called a Content Credential and allows people to know where an image came from. When an image is viewed on Lens, users can view its metadata on the Click website, seeing what device signed the image and its associated metadata, like time and location.

The Nodle Network and the Lens Protocol are both planning to be part of the Elastic Chain, a network ZK rollups powered by the ZK Stack. This should enable deeper integration once deployed, such as interoperability between user profiles, and more advanced content distribution. Nodle and Lens Protocol are exploring how to more deeply integrate Click signed media to provide a seamless viewing experience.

“This year, with more than 50 countries undergoing elections and over two billion people going to the polls, Click is coming into its own as a timely and relevant way to establish trust in digital content in the generative AI world we live in. Partnering with Lens, we can now help many more see, share and engage with authenticated content – and help deter the spread of misinformation. This is just the beginning of what we can do within the growing web3 social ecosystem,” says Micha Benoliel, the CEO and co-founder of Intergalactic Labs, the lead developer of Nodle.

“We’re excited to partner with Click on this initiative, as a first phase of a broader integration. Content provenance will be crucial in the next wave of social media, ensuring authenticity and trust. Blockchain technology will be vital in combating misinformation and digital manipulation. Knowing the origins and history of content will empower users to make informed decisions and foster a more transparent and reliable online social environment,” says Christina Beltramini, Head of Growth, Avara, the team behind Lens Protocol.

Lens recently announced their migration to ZKsync. Likewise, Nodle’s Click app, recently migrated to ZKsync and the Nodle DePIN will be fully migrated to ZKsync later this summer.
