Donald Trump gave a speech at the 2024 Bitcoin Conference, highlighting key factors he believes are important for the American crypto community.

• SEC Leadership Change. Trump pledged to fire Gary Gensler and appoint a new SEC chairman on his first day in office.

• Strategic Bitcoin Stockpile. He proposed creating a U.S. government strategic national Bitcoin stockpile and stated the government would retain all its Bitcoin holdings.

• Bitcoin and Gold. Trump predicted that Bitcoin would one day surpass the market cap of gold.

• Stance on CBDCs. He declared that there would never be a Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) while he was President.

• Pro-Bitcoin Policies. Trump promised that under his administration, the U.S. would become the global leader in cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, ending what he described as the Biden administration's anti-crypto stance.

Renzo Amore

One of the biggest liquid restaking protocols finishes its airdrop seasons and starts an incentives campaign.

The Renzo Amore initiative plans to distribute 5% of the total $REZ supply over five months to reward loyal community members and encourage continued participation in Renzo and the broader DeFi ecosystem.

This allocation will be retroactively distributed, with 4% going to ezPoints recipients and 1% allocated for token emissions to incentivize liquidity.

The timeline for the distribution is from July 26th to the end of November 2024. A total of 400 million REZ tokens will be distributed retroactively to eligible wallets.

Additionally, 100 million REZ tokens will be allocated to decentralized exchange liquidity providers who add liquidity to the ezETH/ETH and pzETH/wstETH pools over 16 weeks. Any REZ tokens not used for DEX liquidity incentives will be returned to the DAO treasury at the end of the campaign.
