Nutbox 103 | Toolkits as Service, Building Contracts for DAO to help DAO Distribute community Token to Contributors

A DAO is a online community whose assets are managed by the community's contributors.

How do we implement it? We think that an authentic DAO works in a way that converts Consensus into codes which are published on blockchains and executed compulsorily. Bitcoin and Ethereum work in such way, so are the protocol DAOs that are popping up nowadays.

However, even the creators of the protocol DAOs are required to possess a certain level of coding skills, not to mention evading the ubiquitous pitfalls in the dark forest of early Web3.

Nutbox is the DAO's infrastructure, and its purpose is to further lower the threshold for a community to create a DAO. It allows the community to issue community Token (cToken for short) in one click, creating a series of smart contracts or tools to automatically distribute cToken to community contributors.

Toolkits as Services

How do communities create DAO on Nutbox?

  • In the first step, the community can use Nutbox's protocol to issue the community's own cTokens in one click, and define a certain percentage of cTokens to enter the DAO Fund automatically.
  • In the second step, use Nutbox to create a community-controlled protocol for automatically distributing cTokens to community contributors according to the needs of community.
  • In the third step, as more community protocols/tools are created, cTokens will be automatically allocated to pools and distributed to corresponding contributors.

Nutbox has helped the communities in achieving the conversion of community consensus into a community protocol to distribute cTokens to community members automatically. Community members contribute to and promote the development of DAO through "Contribute to Earn".

We call this approach "Toolkits as Service". The Toolkits mentioned here not only include various protocols developed by Nutbox, but also connected to existing application platforms through interfaces, and also support third-party developers to develop Tools on Nutbox.

As more and more tools are created, various consensuses in the community are converted into protocols, and more parts of the community can rely on the protocol to enforce. More DAOs can also run on top of the public chain.

Toolkits Staking

In order to better promote the development of "Toolkits as Service", we have launched Toolkits Staking:

a) The community configures a protocol or Tool;

b) Community members can use the protocol or tool created with NUT for the community to vote on (performed by staking, which can be cancelled);

c) Nutbox will distribute NUT to community members, communities, and Tool developers according to the voting status of each protocol or Tool.

Furthermore, when community members use the protocol or tool to obtain cToken revenue, Nutbox will charge a portion of cToken as a service fee. This part of the service fee (cToken) will also be distributed to community members participating in the voting according to the Toolkits Staking mechanism.

Nutbox relies on Toolkits Staking to allow users, communities, and tool developers to form an ecosystem, with the purpose of enabling the community to kickstart DAOs in a better way. By supporting the development of the community, tool developers, Nutbox will become a DAO owned by many communities.
