Hello Fam, resuming our weekly updates, we are very happy to introduce our new destination for sharing official long-form content or blog posts - Mirror.xyz

Mirror.xyz has been a platform that has been battle tested for decentralized publishing. We we have had success with Mirror in the past and the technology around the platform has only improved since then. We will be making sure that all content posted here via this publication will meet the standards and represent the values of the OmniFlix community.

Community Updates

A brief note about our weekly articles that ensured all stakeholders - creators, collectors, node hosts (RPC providers, REST API providers, validators & relayers), developers, partners & others were all informed. On Medium, over 39 articles were produced and a were halted briefly due to termination of our account for sharing information about NFT projects launching on the network. Since we wanted to continue to do that, we went looking for other alternatives and ended up choosing Mirror as our destination.

These Community Updates are dear to us and we will commit to providing as much value as possible in text format to our stakeholders and community members.

Community Update #40

Without further ado, let’s kick start updates from the last week and all that’s to come this week.

1) Engineering Updates

1. Efforts around the specification for the interact-to-claim module have been initiated.

2. All engineering efforts for Cosmoverse internally and with partners, Reached Tech, have been deemed successful and data reconciliation is underway. Breakdown of stats and other details to come in an independent blog post. Engineering efforts include:

   1. Ticketing System for attendees to purchase tickets. Attendees could pay with fiat or ATOM and could get upto 20 tickets each.

   2. The Ticket Verification/Attendee Registration System/app for attendees to register and gain access to the event has been developed by OmniFlix as a way to power in-event operations. Developed in partnership with partners Reached Technologies, the team was able to deliver a seamless ticket verification system during Cosmoverse 2022

   3. Media Broadcasting - OmniFlix’s technology powered uninterrupted live streams running on 4 English and 1 Spanish channel for all 3 days, reaching thousands of viewers on YouTube primarily with content repurposed on other platforms like Twitter, Reddit, Instagram and more.

   4. Semi-automated video production for Cosmoverse

   5. Cosmoverse POAP (to be launched)

3. As a team, we are continuing to explore CosmWasm to utilize the technology in ways that benefit the OmniFlix and the wider interchain ecosystem.

2) Design & Media Updates

A) Product Design

1. Last week’s focus around design includes updates to the OmniFlix Market app that are now live on https://frontier.OmniFlix.market

2. Mobile onboarding is now easier. OmniFlix Crew worked with the Cosmostation team to bring frontier.omniflix.market on mobile.

B) Media

1. A part of last week’s design efforts were focused around support for Partners to ensure they successfully visualized all data around Agreements, Rights & their Assets.

2. With our efforts behind #Cosmoverse2022 coming to fruition, we are preparing something for all the participating projects to make their experience even more memorable and useful for their community.

3.1) Events

OmniFlix Network was a part of few events in the last month, few events were executed by FlixCrew and in few other events Flix Creators have represented OmniFlix.

a) Cosmoverse 2022 - Medellín, Colombia

Cosmoverse 2022 was a huge success, congratulations to the organizers of the event. OmniFlix Network played a very important role as an event contributors of Cosmoverse 2022, from ticketing management to media production, programming of conference to broadcasting, several tasks of the event were managed by OmniFlix.

b) Tropicon 2022 - Darwin, Australia

One of our early Creators @SnapdDesigns put together a great gallery at Tropicon 2022, repping @NotsNfts @OmniFlixNetwork & the wider Cosmos ecosystem. Check out some snaps from the display below:

c) TEDx Hyderabad - Hyderabad, India

OmniFlix Network partnered with TED talks and came on board as Web3 & Blockchain partners for TEDx Hyderabad, we have put up a booth for the attendees to know more about the efforts of OmniFlix.Attendees and speakers of the event were able to claim their proof-of-presence NFT by scanning a simple QR code at the event.

3.2) Activities by Flix Fanatics

(Community subDAO on OmniFlix.market)

• Flix Fanatics Quiz (Sunday) - Our recurring Sunday event to put your knowledge of #OmniFlix & #Cosmos to test! We are seeing regular participation from the Flix Fam in the quiz. Join us for a fun quiz session on OmniFlix Network Telegram, every Sunday 2pm UTC.

• Our Community Call & Events are always filled with creators, NFT collectors and fanatics. Discover new collections on #InTheStudio space (every Friday 2pm UTC), hear about Community Updates on FlixTalk (every Wednesday 2pm UTC).

• Flix Quest (Thursday) was organized for the community to learn more about #OmniFlix presentation at Cosmoverse 2022 and participate to win an #NFT from OmniFlix Market.

• OG Collector NFTs were dropped to our early users and members who supported creators and communities on OmniFlix.Market

Focus for the current week

1) Protocol Engineering

• The current focus for the week will be continued efforts on the interact-to-claim module.

• The OmniFlix Hub also underwent a recent upgrade during which the OmniFlix Hub’s validators were extremely fast to respond along with the wider interchain community whose efforts made it possible to secure most of the chains in the ecosystem. Full details on this, next week.

2) Design

• Improving on the front-end design of https://frontier.OmniFlix.market

• Building collaterals for better explaining OmniFlix dApps and prepping explainer content (threads, videos) for upcoming feature launches.

3) Media

• Edit and work with the Cosmoverse team to publish Cosmoverse 2022 videos.

4) Community

• Launch collections as planned.

• Continue to pursue activities already planned by the marketing subDAO

• Bring on-board partners and community members to talk about their projects on Flix Talk on Wednesday at 2pm UTC

• Bring on-board creators to talk about their collections during InTheStudio Twitter Space on Friday at 2pm UTC
