Fam, 2024 was a year full of shipping new features, powering a ton of events with our media & building our community further in Cosmos & beyond. What we laid down in our vision for 2024 was more than achieved and a new target has been set for 2025.

We appreciate your support throughout the bears & the bull, and as we gear up for 2025, want to share a quick snapshot of the 50 big highlights from 2024.

January 2024

1) Concluded FlixDrop with some impressive love and traction from the community

A testament to our innovative approach, we distributed over 12.42M $FLIX to more than 39k participants through the Interact-to-Claim module and StreamPay, across over 106k+ streams. This unique model has successfully engaged our community and rewarded active members.

2) 100 episodes of FlixTalk with a massive lineup of OG Cosmonauts

A weekly space for our community of creators, builders & users exploring the web3 space completed a century of episodes. Kicking of our new year in style and building towards a bigger milestone.

3) Upgraded OmniFlix Hub to v2

Started the new year with a bang, focused on upgrading the dApps, experience & more with seamless NFT interoperability with x/nft, interchain transfers, StreamPay fees adjustment, token Factory for easy token creation, and enhanced speed & security with Cosmos SDK v47

4) Tips, Global Search and Suggested Videos features added on OmniFlix TV

OmniFlix TV saw the launch of some killer features with milestones like 500+ videos published & 50k + interactions.

5) Launched the new & improved Akash EDU on OmniFlix.tv

AkashEDU is a platform on OmniFlix for the community to learn about how to dive into decentralized cloud computing and build using Akash.

6) FLIX integrated on Astrovault with 2 new pools

With $FLIX integrated on another DEX - astrovault.io, the $AXV rewards kicked in for FLIX / xFLIX pool & xARCH / xFLIX pool.

7) Image based interactions live on OmniFlix TV with a kickass campaign

Another interaction style added to OmniFlix.tv with a kickass KYC (Know Your Cosmos) campaign with 16 partners. An interesting way to make campaigns more engaging and fun for the audience.

8) FlixTalk IRL with Gadikian & Vali in Hyderabad

Another edition of FlixTalk IRL with discussions about decentralized media, building in web3 & cosmos with some OG builders.

9) OmniFlix Hub v3 upgrade for CosmWasm integration

OmniFlix Hub upgraded to v3 with the integration of CosmWasm, opening all the possibilities of what we are planning to build with NFT Launchpad contracts, Media DePIN & more.

10) Celebrated the 2nd OmniFlix Mainnetversary with cosmonauts

On our 2nd mainnet-versary, OmniFlix got a lot of love from Cosmonauts, as collaborators, a project building in Cosmos and fellow members in this web3 community that continue to build.

March

11) OmniFlix Node Migration

A much needed infrastructure upgrade to ensure robust operations of our dApps. Appreciate the support & patience of our creators & builders while we worked to make sure that no NFT or media files went missing.

12) $FLIX now available on SputnikNetwork bot

Facilitating easy $FLIX transactions using Twitter/Telegram handles, a super useful tool that is actively used by our community SubDAO & the FlixFam.

13) IBC Tipping (using Leap Elements) feature added to OmniFlix.tv

Tipping on OmniFlix.tv is a great p2p feature for community members to support creators, with 28k+ $FLIX tipped so far. The IBC tipping feature makes it even faster and more convenient for users to tip in $FLIX via any other cosmos denom.

14) $FLIX delegators got their first airdrop eligibility - $SIGNAL StakeDrop

15) OmniFlix x Ch0pCh0p NFT Conference

Yet another amazing NFT Metaverse showcase where creators from cosmos, including some talented creators on OmniFlix participated in an interactive NFT Exhibit. OmniFlix dropped a souvenir NFT Crusader NFTs to all the attendees.

April

16) $LAB & $TNKR Airdrops - made possible using #OmniFlix

OmniFlix seamlessly facilitated two airdrops using its Interact-to-Claim and StreamPay modules. Participants claimed their LAB and TNKR tokens and also engaged in a raffle-based drop, making the experience more fun & engaging.

17) OmniFlix powered media beyond the Interchain - Web3 Dubai

The Flix Crew attended & powered the livestream broadcast & media at Web3 Dubai to showcase our capabilities & media tech beyond the interchain.

18) Debuted FlixFeast NYC - A Creator Brunch

During NFT NYC 2024, FlixFam had the debut of their first creator brunch for creators on OmniFlix & beyond, in New York City. Big thanks to Sandytoes & Amanda for making the event possible.

19) cw-raffle - first Open Sourced Contract on OmniFlix went live

Deployed on Juno and built for the Mad Scientist NFTs $LAB Drop raffle of 10k+ NFTs on OmniFlix Market.

20) Celebrated 1-year anniversary of $FLIX token since launch

April 20th (4/20) is an important milestone marking the launch of $FLIX token via StreamSwap. With the anniversary we celebrate the growing use case & support of the $FLIX token.

21) TrustDrop Watch-to-Earn campaign on OmniFlix TV

A new airdrop for Dymension community, executed in a new watch-to-earn campaign style on OmniFlix.tv. With over 10k+ participants and over 26k+ Mande-tory Participation NFTs dropped, the campaign got massive success and establish a new way to create engaging and spam-free campaign for the community.

22) Gated Interactions feature on OmniFlix TV

Everyone can watch the content, but only the eligible NFT holders can interact. With the Gated Interactions feature, creators & communities can create exclusive campaigns, add more utility to their NFTs (that makes them eligible for campaigns) & projects can create sybil attack free campaigns.

23) Added Collaborative royalty split feature on OmniFlix Studio

Per the feedback from our community of creators who have been working on collab NFT collections, the team whipped up an easy feature to split royalties between creators.

24) Added Bulk Mint feature to run mega NFT Drops

OmniFlix Market is a hub for Validator badges, POAP NFTs, Participation NFTs, and more. Our Bulk Mint feature equips creators and communities with the tooling to seamlessly distribute artwork to a wide audience, including delegators and NFT holders, enhancing engagement across the platform.

25) Elys Checkpoint & Treasure Hunt campaign leg on OmniFlix TV

For an exciting Elys Network quest, the project utilised OmniFlix TV to create checkpoint videos for the users to verify their answers & even have an OmniFlix leg of the quest for participants to get answers by interacting with a video.

26) Vault-i-versary Watch-to-Earn campaign by Inter Protocol

Inter Protocol created an anniversary celebration quest on OmniFlix TV where users will get participation NFT on interacting with the video. Winner NFTs were chosen at random to award them IST tokens from a reward pool.

27) Cosmoverse 2024 tickets powered by OmniFlix for the 3rd year

OmniFlix powered ticketing for Cosmoverse for the 3rd year in a row, offering the ability to purchase tickets using $ATOM or fiat, all from Cosmoverse.OmniFlix.co

28) $FLIX made it’s first CEX listing - now tradable on MEXC

A new wave of liquidity arrived for $FLIX with it’s first CEX listing on MEXC. This marked a big milestone with the $FLIX token reaching new places and an easy way new investors, community members & more will be able to get some $FLIX.

29) OmniFlix powered Cosmoverse ticketing for the 3rd year in a row

Early bird discount tickets sold out in a flash, and more batches of tickets opened in the coming weeks.

30) NFT Launchpad Contracts - open sourced & published

A much awaited step for the launch of the NFT Launchpad & Open Edition minter to power NFT Collection launches & minting on OmniFlix. A big thanks to our creators & community to participate in the governance and implementation of these contracts to power NFT & media distribution.

31) Tribbles Community Access NFT minting on OmniFlix Market

Tribbles NFT launch on OmniFlix Market drew a lot of attention from cosmos communities planning to mint these unique furry NFTs. Batch 1 & 2 NFT holders were dropped Batch 3 NFTs too, with a fun Tribbles airdrop coming soon.

32) Launched Video Mints on OmniFlix.tv

A much awaited feature that allows users to be able to mint an edition NFT of the video NFTs on OmniFlix.tv. There are 250+ Video Mints enables media published on OmniFlix.tv with creators & communities publishing their media to better distribute their content & also open another revenue channel.

33) Powered Livestream simulcast across 3 platform to 16M+ followers

Nothing much, just ran a flawless stream to an audience of 16M+ followers across 3 channels for our frens at StarMaa (a subsidiary of Disney+ Hotstar India). This stream is yet another proof of how battle-tested the OmniFlix Media Node solution is for web2 clients, and how seamless & feasible it is to distribute & stream media over multiple channels using this tooling.

34) Deployed Gated Videos feature on OmniFlix.tv

With the launch of Gated Videos, creators and communities can now make their content exclusive to NFT holders. This game-changing feature not only adds more utility to NFTs but also bring exclusive content to NFT holders.

35) Opened slots for early testers of OmniFlix Super App, IBC Game Telegram Mini App & more

With multiple interesting projects in the works, the Flix Crew opened slot of for early testers to try out OmniFlix Market v2 (now deployed), OmniFlix Super App & the IBC Game Telegram Mini App. The feedback from this early set of users will be crucial in making revisions and changes that can improve the user experience.

36) #CosmosHyd led by OmniFlix was a massive success

#CosmosHyd, presented by OmniFlix in association with Cosmoverse, wrapped up a thrilling 4 week hackathon program in Hyderabad. Builders dived into Cosmos SDK and IBC, enriching their skills through workshops, panels, and hands-on challenges on the #RoadToHackmos. Huge thanks to all the partners for making this event possible.

37) Watch-to-Earn campaign by MANTRA Chain

MANTRA chain creating an exciting watch-to-earn quest on OmniFlix.tv for it’s community to interact with the video and earn the MANTRA Access NFT on OmniFlix Market. This NFT also became one of the eligibility criteria for cosmonauts attending Cosmoverse 2024 to earn a ticket to the MANTRA afterparty.

38) Sponsor Drops - a new way to drop merch, goodies, tickets & more at Cosmoverse

Like every year, OmniFlix added a new addition to the Media & Media Tech stack it offers for Cosmoverse. The first project to use this feature was MANTRA chain, where users who have a Cosmoverse 2024 ticket + MANTRA Access NFT are able to claim tickets for the MANTRA Chain afterparty.

The watch-to-earn campaign by MANTRA chain saw 39.3k+ participants and over 116k Interactions.

39) Launched OmniFlix Media Node at Cosmoverse 2024

Using Akash Network, OmniFlix Media Node unlocks the ability for creators, communities & projects to run decentralized livestream broadcasts across multiple channels, all using OmniFlix. A battle-tested tool with 650Mn + watch minutes of live-streaming done for web2 clients, it brings the Media DePIN vision together.

40) FlixFest got Cosmonauts dancing again, in Dubai

Back for the 3rd edition, FlixFest was powered & supported by some OG collaborators & builders in the Cosmos space.

41) $FLIX used to bootstrap $YGATA launch stream on StreamSwap Protocol

$FLIX was the first token to launch in the community-led way via StreamSwap Protocol. For the tri-token stream to launch $yGATA (a token factory token on OmniFlix), $FLIX was one of the 3 tokens used to bootstrap. A total of 556k+ $FLIX were deposited against 3.5M $yGATA in the stream.

42) OmniFlix TV crossed 250k + Watch minutes

A big milestone for OmniFlix TV (v2) that launched just over an year. With 2200+ videos published & numerous watch-to-earn campaigns launched on the platform, this metric shows a great uptick in the consumption and utility of OmniFlix.tv for creators & projects.

43) Building on Cosmos - content series by OmniFlix with grant by Atom Accelerator

At Cosmoverse 2024, the Flix Crew took on a new challenge, powered by a grant by Atom Accelerator - shoot and produce a content series with long & short interviews about Building on Cosmos. 100+ interviews shot over 4 days, are now being edited for this exciting series to drop in 2025 for the viewers, especially on OmniFlix.tv

44) Video Drops feature lands on OmniFlix TV

Deployed one of the most awaited & utility rich tool on OmniFlix TV that let’s creators & communities drop artwork, badges, Certificates, POAP NFTs & more to participants who interact with the interactive on OmniFlix.tv. Battle tested by over 55k+ participants who took part in watch-to-earn campaigns, this feature automates a big step in the process of making NFTs reach the participants of the campaigns.

Participants of RISE13 ICT Summit in Davao, Philippines were able to claim their one of a kind certificate NFT by participating in the interactive video on OmniFlix.tv. With Video Drops features, they were able to embed dynamic as well as static meta-data in the certificate NFTs. This is one of a kind example of NFT Media application 🤝 IRL events.

45) It’s airdrop & whitelist season for FlixFam Badge NFT holders

FlixFam Badge NFTs are rewarded by FlixFanatics - the community SubDAO of OmniFlix for community members who engage in campaigns and participates in quests. With a growing number of participants, FlixFam Badge NFT holders are now getting whitelisted for NFT mints & airdrops.

Yield Crocs is the first NFT Collection to launch on OmniFlix Market v2, using the new launchpad module. FlixFam Badge NFT holders were whitelisted in Round 2 of the NFT mint.

Another one. Yes, the FlixFam Badge NFT holders have been whitelisted for the Tribbles Airdrop too.

46) Stake your $NAM on a staking dashboard by OmniFlix & Cosmic Validator

With the Namada Chain going live with mainnet, OmniFlix & Cosmic Validator team collaborated to launch namada.OmniFlix.co - a staking dashboard for cosmonauts to stake/delegate their $NAM airdrop to earn staking rewards & even participate in governance proposal from one platform.

47) OmniFlix Market v2 - A massive upgrade to your NFT experience

After two years of continuous development and improvement to the OmniFlix NFT marketplace, a massive upgrade has been deployed on OmniFlix.market to improve the NFT & media experience.

50) OmniFlix Media DePIN - closer than it appears

OmniFlix had it’s first-ever creator livestream, running using OmniFlix Media Node, by none other than Darkside of the Podocast. An hour of exciting conversation all about what’s coming next for the Media Node, when creators will be able to run their own decentralized media & how battle-tested is this tool. This livestream was simulcast across 3 channels with viewers tuning in to share their thoughts & question.
