Flix Fam, without further ado, let’s dive right into updates from last week and all that’s coming this week!

0] Update on FlixNet-4

• Updates to the apps Studio and Market are now completed. Although the official time that the campaign resumes is 31st October, 9am UTC, we’ve had community members continue to utilize the apps, claim tokens from the faucet and interact with the testnet for auction listing/bidding for the past 3 days without any issues.

• Thanks to the efforts of the Flix Crew for the entire last week, the apps on testnet are not only smooth but also pave the way for a stellar experience for apps on the mainnet.

• For your information -- Leaderboard for FlixNet-4 campaign participants is also now live for folks to refer. You can connect your Keplr wallet on OmniFlix Studio (on FlixNet-4) and go to Assets > Campaigns and then click on the Leaderboard tab to the top right corner.

1] Engineering

• Continuing from the week earlier, last week’s efforts were primarily around the launch of the testnet campaign on FlixNet-4. These efforts were successful and received positive feedback from the community.

• Coming to CosmWasm, the team’s efforts have been focused on StreamSwap and exploring the tooling around CosmWasm further. Last week was a productive week for the entire StreamSwap team and we believe this week will be no different.

• Last week’s implementation of apps for partners went well. This week efforts on the same will continue.

• OmniFlix.Market now has major updates that enhance the user experience of every creator and collector and is ready for auctions to go live on mainnet. Updates include:

  • Historical Activity tab for Collections, NFTs & user accounts

  • WalletConnect integration is now live and mobile access just got easier

  • My NFTs tab while viewing a collection for easy reference of NFTs that an account owns

  • All launchpad projects are now listed in the Marketplace tab of the OmniFlix.market app. This enables increased discovery of projects by collectors and additional exposure for creators.

  • UI/UX overhaul and this is just the start. The app will most likely get faster and look better by the end of November.

• Last week’s data layer engineering was on-hold due to updates to the apps on FlixNet-4. Data Layer updates to include USD prices and other finer details will continue to be worked on this week.

2] Design & Media Updates

2a) Product Design

• This past week, the 1st draft of the design of OmniFlix TV (v2) was completed.

  • The Figma file was shared with related stakeholders for inputs and conversations about the UX.

  • The above User Research exercise received a good response and additional updates are planned for the current week.

• Feedback around OmniFlix Market by testnet participants was reviewed by the design & engineering teams last week. The feedback will be consolidated until the end of the testnet campaign on 4th November, for all teams to take action.

2b) Media

• Creatives around the Cosmoverse POAP saw their first drafts. This week, the same will be finalized.

• Creatives around the NFTs for Flix Drop have also been worked on by the members of the Crew along with other community members.

• Creatives for StreamSwap were planned but missed their deadline as there were other efforts that took longer than expected.

• Creatives for partner implementations have been worked on and related work will continue.

4.1) OmniFlix TV

a) #InTheStudio Ep 24 POAP

#InThestudio is a creator space which is held every Friday with the creator community of OmniFlix Network, participants of the space are eligible to claim a proof of attendance NFT by answering a secret phase announced during the space.

4.2) Activities by Flix Fanatics

• Flix Fanatics Quiz #22 - Last week’s quiz for the community on 30th Oct covered some interesting questions about FlixNet-4 & Halloween themed collections that were launched on OmniFlix Market. Two winners and two participants chosen at random will be rewarded NFTs from Pharaohs of Atlantis & Neon Cosmos Collection.

5.1) Upcoming Collections

a) WildFlix Badge - Collectible Non transferable NFTs (To be launched)

Creators of WildFlix v10 collection have launched an educational video on Elephants through OmniFlix TV which can be checked below👇

Snapshot of the participants will be taken on November 1st and a non transferable will be dropped to all the participants who have answered the quest correctly, this NFT will have utilities like future drop, access to WildFlix TV, discount sales etc.

b) Seilor Badge drop - Collectible NFTs (To be launched)

Sei Network has recently announced a quest for their community members, upon answering few questions about Sei Network they would be eligible to receive a Seilor NFT.

Following the successful sellout of the IBC Game Vol 1 NFTs within a few hours of launch & and an exciting season 1 of the tournament, Tangled NFTs is set to launch Vol 2 of IBC Games collection towards the end of November 2022.

5.2) Recently Launched

a) Rise of Aztecs - Art NFTs (Launched)

After the launch of Pharaohs of Atlantis, IBC Mafia’s second collection - Rise of Aztecs is live on OmniFlix.Market

Apart from NFT drops to the existing holders of the collections, the creator will be launching a contest focusing on building a story around both of his collections.

b) Spider Humans - PFP NFTs (Launched)

Spider Humans is a 1000 NFT collection launched by the creators of Goblin Frenz. These NFTs were airdropped to the holders who had a minimum of 10 goblins in their account. Check out the collection here 👇

Spider Humans was one of several collections launched on OmniFlix Market in the spirit of Halloween.

c) Halloween Fanatic - AI Art NFTs (Launched)

In collaboration with OmniFlix creators, Flix Fanatics have launched an exclusive 32 piece collection, which sold out in just a few hours. They have received a lot of love from the community for this endeavor.

d) Strange Things - Collectible NFTs (Launched)

The spree of Halloween collections was started early last week with the launch of Strange Things collection from the creators of How Rare is your Cosmos.

Focus for the current week

1) Protocol Engineering

• This week, the protocol engineering team will focus on getting the release for the auctions on OmniFlix Hub ready.

• Coordination with validators to review the codebase will also be a priority.

2) Application Engineering

• The application design team will focus on the updates within OmniFlix Market and initiate the setup and discussions around OmniFlix Me.

• Activities around presenting the Flix Drop eligibility will be initiated.

• Partner implementations continue.

3) Design

• Additional User Research of OmniFlix TV is a high priority.

• Aligning current updates within OmniFlix Market with the current version that’s deployed is also a priority.

4) Media

• The team will align efforts to complete creatives for at least 3 categories of the Flix Drop.

• The team will also focus on initiating work on the creatives required for StreamSwap.

5) Community

• All activities by Flix Fanatics (a part of the Community subDAO within the OmniFlix DAO) will continue as planned.
