Welcome back, Flix Fam! Get ready for the 57th installment of our Community Update - your one-stop destination to catch up on all things OmniFlix.

Buckle up as we delve into the recent, riveting developments that are shaping our space. Let's dive right in! 👇

1) Protocol Engineering

1.1) Preparation for the FlixDrop

  • After testing of the modules on devnet for 2+ weeks, the preparation for FlixDrop can be considered as completed on devnet.

  • Last week, 120+ users tested campaigns on devnet and reported ease of use with the UI/UX that was deployed.

  • Although the current UI is NOT the final version, the UX will remain more or less the same and received good feedback.

  • The aim for the devnet was to test out the end points exposed, identify bugs with respect to the protocol itself, capture the data (and check data being sent as input and received as output), compatibility with UI/ledger-based signing, etc.

  • This week, the plan is to coordinate with the node hosts of the testnet and upgrade the chain with all the features that are required to be tested publicly. This upgrade will include the following updates:

    • Cosmos SDK

    • Comet (prev. Tendermint) consensus

    • ibc

    • oNFT (fixes)

    • marketplace (latest version of Auctions)

    • Interact to Claim or itc module (new module)

    • streampay module (new module)

Once the testnet upgrades are completed, the apps will be updated (and will continue to be updated even during testnet) and users will be able to test the itc and streampay modules, simply using the UI.

2) Application Engineering

OmniFlix Market (dev)

  • The ITC module is now updated and has details about a campaign right on the landing page of the /campaigns tab (on devnet UI)

  • This interface can be tested on the testnet apps (Studio & Market) as soon as the upgrade is completed.

3) Governance

Below are governance proposals that were voted on by the OmniFlix Network validator as a part of the operations while validating the below chains/networks.

3b) Juno

3d) Ki Chain

  • Voted Yes - 10

3e) Stargaze

  • Voted Yes - 172

    There were 4 proposals in total from chains Osmosis, Comdex, Stargaze & Juno that we missed voting. We will be streamlining operations even more from a governance standpoint.

4) Ecosystem Updates

4.1) Hack:DiD Developer Workshop BLR

OmniFlix Network was delighted to support the exciting Hack:DiD hackathon - a platform committed to boosting Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and Blockchain tech exploration.

The event, which started with a developer-focused workshop in Bengaluru, saw innovative minds collaborating, and we're excited to see what these teams build next in the crypto-sphere!

4.2) Event Ticket Claim For FrolicBlock Blockchain Summit 2023

FrolicBlock 2023 at Dahican Beach was a massive hit, bringing together enthusiasts keen to delve into the DeFi and NFT realms. OmniFlix TV played a pivotal role in this event by not only simplifying the ticketing process but also disseminating all the required info in an interactive manner.
