Fam, the FlixDrop is on the horizon!

After an eager year-long (even a bit more for some of the categories) wait, the community-wide celebration of early supporters, users, creators, and more - FlixDrop - is finally nearing its launch.

Designed to enrich OmniFlix's user engagement and growth, FlixDrop is a way for the (Interchain/Cosmos) community to explore and interact with the diverse array of creator, community and media-specific apps on OmniFlux Hub!

Recipients of the FlixDrop have all been exposed to OmniFlix by trying out the technology or interacting with OmniFlix in more ways than one, either with OmniFlix Studio, OmniFlix Market, OmniFlix TV, OmniFlix Network Validator, etc.

Distribution of the allocation

OmniFlix has set aside 60M FLIX for the FlixDrop and DAO collaborations. This includes D2D engagements or DAO to DAO token swaps, among others. Tokens distributed to DAOs will be vested on a case-by-case basis with a minimum of 6 months.

The breakdown of the distribution is as follows:

• 35M FLIX for all the drops that are part of the FlixDrop categories (as announced in January 2022 and later)

  • Of the 35M FLIX allocation for FlixDrop Categories, 1.37M FLIX allocation will be used for various campaigns, set to happen before October 10th including but not limited to drops for events, increasing awareness for the campaigns module, OmniFlix TV (v1) & more.

• 10M FLIX for future drops during ecosystem expansions (to EVM chains or more)

• 15M FLIX is reserved for drops to DAOs, token swaps and more

FlixDrop Testnet with the Interact-to-Claim module

The Interact to Claim Module on OmniFlix Hub is designed for creators and communities to create campaigns using NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens).

• Participants can Transfer, Verify & Burn an NFT to claim rewards which may be in the form of new NFTs or Fungible Tokens.

• In the case of FlixDrop, participants will permanently delete/remove (or "burn") OG/FlixDrop NFTs from the blockchain and receive FLIX tokens in return.

Test the waters with FlixDrop ‘Burn-to-Claim‘ Mechanism on FlixNet-4

• We believe in a hands-on approach to understanding the process better. Hence, the FlixDrop TestNet is now live, offering participants a chance to try out the ‘Burn-to-Claim’ mechanism.

• Participants can use test versions of the NFTs they hold for FlixDrop. For instance, if you have a FlixNet-4 Participant, you’ll receive a TEST-FlixNet-4 Participant NFT on the testnet. You can practice burning this test NFT and receive testFLIX tokens in the TestNet environment.

• This offers participants an invaluable opportunity to familiarize themselves with the process before the Mainnet launch.

How to claim your FlixDrop?

If you haven't experimented with the Interact-to-Claim mechanism using your testNFTs on the testnet, fret not! Here's a quick guide to help you claim your FlixDrop when it goes live on July 31st, 9 AM UTC.

Note: StreamPay will progressively distribute your FlixDrop tokens over 30 days. You're free to claim your daily accrued tokens at any pace that suits you. Access your StreamPay.me dashboard whenever you're ready to claim.

For instance, If you own both an OG Collector NFT and an OmniFlix Delegator Snapshot - 1 NFT, you're set to receive 450 FLIX tokens (200 + 250). StreamPay ensures those tokens to be transferred via a steady stream of 15 FLIX tokens per day to your account for 30 days.

To calculate your daily FLIX stream as part of FlixDrop Claim, use the following formula:

Daily FLIX Stream = Total Eligible FLIX Tokens / Stream Duration (30 days)

For an effortless claiming process on OmniFlix.market, follow the steps mentioned below once FlixDrop launches on July 31st, 9AM UTC:

1) Visit OmniFlix.market on July 31st, 9am UTC

Visit OmniFlix.market, connect your wallet and click on Campaigns tab to discover the FlixDrop campaigns.

2) Check eligible campaigns

Click on Eligible to access the FlixDrop campaigns you qualify for.

3) Claim your drop!

Choose the NFTs to burn for the campaign and initiate the claim by clicking Burn to Claim.

4) Check for confirmation

Upon successful claim, click on Check StreamPay. This directs you to StreamPay.me where you can view your FLIX tokens being streamed in real-time.

5) View stream on StreamPay & Claim

Monitor your live token stream and claim already-streamed tokens by clicking on Claim Tokens. FlixDrop tokens are streamed over a period of 30 days.

6) Claim tokens as required within

After a successful transaction, remember that you can come back to claim your streamed tokens periodically as they accrue. FlixDrop Recipients will be able to claim their tokens using StreamPay at any point in time during the 30 day period or can do it all at once after the stream is completed.
