1) Protocol Engineering

1.1) Successful testnet upgrade

  • The testnet upgrade has been successful and the ITC (v1) and StreamPay (v2) modules are now live on the testnet.

  • The upgrade process involved a testnet proposal which validators voted upon and upgraded the testnet.

  • Currently the testnet is live with the modules and the apps are being updated as required.

  • A minor bug was identified during the upgrade where the StreamPay stream creation happened with a different token other than FLIX and hence a proposal is live on the testnet where the total

2) Application Engineering

2.1) Testnet App Deployment

Updates from the latest upgrade with the Interact-to-Claim (ITC), streampay and Auctions v2 on marketplace now live on:

Campaign creation, now live on the FlixNet-4 testnet
Campaign creation, now live on the FlixNet-4 testnet

Faucets for tokens on testnet available in the apps themselves and on the Discord Server in the flix-faucet-flixNet-4 channel. Here’s the direct URL to access.

2.2) What to except this week?

  • Updates to the apps on FlixNet-4

  • First draft of the StreamPay UI to be released for closed-beta testers

3) Governance

Below are governance proposals that were voted on by the OmniFlix Network validator as a part of the operations while validating the below chains/networks.

3a) Osmosis

  • Voted Yes - 529, 530, 531, 532, 533, 534 & 535

3b) Juno

  • Voted Yes - 306

3c) Comdex

  • Voted Yes - 155

3d) Stargaze

  • Voted Yes - 174 & 176

3e) Cheqd

  • Voted Yes - 31

  • There were proposals from chains Juno, Comdex, Cheqd and Agoric that we missed voting. We will be streamlining operations even more from a governance standpoint.

4) Ecosystem Updates

4.1) OmniFlix X Babylon Testnet Integration

OmniFlix's integration with Babylon marks a significant milestone in enhancing security for our creators. This partnership brings Bitcoin-level security to OmniFlix transactions, empowering artists to mint, manage, and monetize their NFTs with confidence. It's a leap forward in securing creative rights, ownership, and fostering trust within our ecosystem.

4.2) OmniFlix TV - Powering voting for Babylon NFT Challenge

The Babylon Chain's NFT Challenge has culminated in a vibrant display of creativity. Now, OmniFlix Network is bringing the top 10 entries to life in an interactive video on OmniFlix TV. It's your chance to vote for the top 6 finalists. With over 200 votes already cast, don't miss out on being part of this exciting event.

4.3) Hack:DiD workshop by Hypersign X OmniFlix

The OmniFlix team was thrilled to participate in the Hack:DiD workshop by Hypersign Chain. It was an enlightening dive into the world of decentralized identity and its limitless potential. We're excited about the future workshops and the opportunity to empower creators, communities, and developers to shape the future.

4.4) Quasar token launch via StreamSwap - A tale of 2 tweets

We're thrilled to share that Quasar Finance is set to launch their $QSR token using the StreamSwap module, a product of OmniFlix Network's contributions. This exciting development follows our successful involvement in the launches of #FLIX, $NLS, and $LORE. It's a testament to our commitment to fostering innovation and growth within the cosmos and web3 ecosystem.

4.5) World Music Day Celebration with OmniFlix

OmniFlix is hitting a high note this World Music Day with a special campaign. With 14 dynamic music NFT collections in the spotlight, the campaign also rolls out a warm welcome for new creators to launch their music as NFTs. It's a celebration of music, creativity, and community at OmniFlix.
