How to Create your own Video Drops for your Channel with OmniFlix Studio

Creating Video Drops is as simple as it is powerful. Here’s how to get started:

If you are a beginner or new to the OmniFlix dApps stack, here are some pre-requisites to know before going with the below steps:

• Have an NFT Collection: Walkthrough on how to create an NFT Collection using OmniFlix Studio

• Published Video NFTs: Walkthrough on how to mint a video NFT using OmniFlix Studio

If you have got a video NFT minted in your app.OmniFlix.studio account, let’s start with creating a video drop using the steps below 👇

Step 1 : Choose the video

Go to the Asset Library > NFTs and choose the Video NFT you want to select to create a Video Drop & click Publish

Step 2: Get it publish-ready

Add interactions like polls or text questions (optional) or hit Continue to publish without interactions.

Don’t forget to enter Asset info like video title, description & thumbnail to the left side.

You can also publish the video, VOD (Video on Demand) style by clicking on ‘Continue’ under Publish without interactions.

Step 3: Verify everything and go to the Publish page

After adding all the interactions and asset details, click on ‘Save’ and then click ‘Next’ to proceed to the Video Drops setup

Step 4: Enable on Video Drops

Toggle on ‘Video Drops’ and click ‘Setup’ to configure your drop

Step 5: Setup the contract (one-time activity)

Customize the collection details & click on ‘Complete Setup’ and this will complete your setup of the Video Drops.

The contract here is used to manage a collection within which NFTs will be minted. These NFTs are nothing but Video Drops that are associated with every video going forward.

A quick look at the details to configure:

• Collection Avatar - 1:1 or a square image, representing the collection being created

• Collection Title - Name of the collection being created.

• Collection Symbol - tickr of the collection being created.

• Collect Mint Revenue - treasury account address that receives the mint proceeds

• Admin Address - the admin of the contract being instantiated. Best if this is the same account as the owner of the channel.

• Schema - add traits to NFTs within the collection like Year of Release or EP Name, etc.

• Setup Fee - in the case of the screenshot it is 1.1 FLIX but it is 125 FLIX on mainnet where 25 FLIX is the collection creation fee and 100 FLIX is the fee for deploying the Video Drops contract for your channel. Going forward, setup of Video Drops using this contract will remain free for creators.

(6) Approve the transaction for the video drops contract setup

(7) Finally, customize your Video Drop by setting the mint price, adjusting transferability, adding royalty percentages, and finishing up by clicking ‘Publish’.

(8) Set video visibility & publishing details & click on ‘Publish‘

(9) And voila! your video drop is published & live on OmniFlix.tv
