Hello Flix Family! Fasten your seatbelts for the 62nd round of the OmniFlix Community Update - your ultimate portal to all the hot-off-the-press happenings in the Flix realm!

Are you primed for this adventure? Then, without further ado, let's dive right in! 👇

1) Protocol Engineering

  1. The focus is on refactoring the current structure of the OmniFlix Hub repository and codebase (of the omniflixhub) for increased ease of development.

  2. The prep. for the FlixDrop is well underway and with the launch of the campaigns module, the protocol engineering contributors are focused on the next upgrade which might include:

    1. CosmWasm

    2. TokenFactory

    3. ICA

    4. And other modules that are under consideration

NOTE: As recommended by contributors we work with, a direct migration to Cosmos SDK v47 is being considered as opposed to first migrating to Cosmos SDK v46 and then to Cosmos SDK v47.

2) Application Engineering

  1. The past week saw the launch of the Interact-to-Claim and the StreamPay applications.

  2. To share a few stats:

    1. There were 7 campaigns created in collaboration with creators like Tangled, Tardigrades, Dark Light, SandyToes, Stranger Keys and others

    2. Over 686 claims have been processed via the ITC module

    3. Over 122 streams have been created via the StreamPay module

Application Engineering - Cosmoverse 2023

This week, the team worked on on finalizing the details around Cosmoverse 2023 ticketing and had an instant sell out for the Early Bird tickets while the overall tickets that are working on the same day are the same.

Note that, FlixDrop NFTs are dropped on FlixNet-4 and if you want to try the drop for yourself, experience these updates firsthand using the apps on testnet (FlixNet-4):

  1. Market - f4.OmniFlix.market

  3. StreamPay - f4-sp.OmniFlix.network (URL for testnet app until official release)

Below are governance proposals that were voted on by the OmniFlix Network validator as a part of the operations while validating the below chains/networks.

3a) Osmosis

  • Voted Yes - 555, 556, 557, 558 & 559

3b) Juno

  • Voted No - 307

3c) Akash

  • Voted Yes - 208

3d) Stargaze

  • Voted Yes - 189

There were proposals from chain Stargaze & Juno that we missed voting. We will be streamlining operations even more from a governance standpoint.

4) Ecosystem Updates

4.1) Ticketing for Cosmoverse’23 - Powered by OmniFlix

The exciting return of Cosmoverse 2023 at the picturesque Swissotel The Bosphorus, Istanbul, from Oct 2-4, has been met with an amazing response from our community. The initial Early Bird and General Admission - 1 tickets were snapped up instantaneously! But don't worry, we've got more. From August 6, we're releasing the next wave of General Admission - 2 tickets.

4.2) Launch of StreamPay & Interact-to-Claim feature

StreamPay is reimagining token transfers, facilitating time-based transactions that perfectly serve real-time services and regular payouts. It's a new era in token transfers, designed with creators and communities in mind.
