As a community, it is our responsibility to address issues of marginalization and to nullify any form of disrespect within our space. To uphold higher standards, we must align with values of mutual respect, integrity, and good faith. Recent events have emphasized the importance of mutual respect and careful discernment when selecting which projects to support. Failure to adhere to these values can result in a loss of trust and support, making it difficult to attract new artists and collectors into the space.
As we continue to expand on-chain music, it is essential that we treat each other with respect and maintain a peaceful environment. Leaders in music can learn from Steph Guerrero’s experience and use it as an opportunity to understand the unfair treatment of women in the music industry, not only recently but historically.
It is crucial that we hold each other accountable and that we be responsible, transparent, and respectful to all community members. Endorsing individuals without proper due diligence can lead to supporting people who do not align with our values. We condemn all forms of prejudice, including misogyny, and there is no place for it in web3.
As a community, we need to create a safer, more inclusive, and empowering space, and we must learn from recent events to do better. This week has highlighted the significance of cultivating community and culture as we navigate difficult situations together. By working together to address these issues, we can create a more positive and supportive environment for everyone involved.

Steven Carlisle, a professor of copyright law at Nova Southeastern University, says that the U.S. Copyright Office currently only recognizes copyright for human-created works, and has recently issued guidelines stating that if you want to register a work created with the help of AI, you must identify the human contribution to the creation of the work and which parts were created by humans.
He added that in the future, lawsuits involving AI-generated works will focus on the contribution of the human author to the work.

Oana Ruxandra, Chief Digital Officer at Warner Music Group, said at the CoinDesk Consensus 2023 event that the success of Web 3.0 music is closely tied to digital augmented reality.
While Oana highlighted the potential benefits of Web 3.0 music, including increased transparency and fair compensation for artists, she also acknowledged that there are still many challenges to overcome, including issues related to interoperability and user experience. She also noted that not all artists need to work on NFT projects to be successful, and that the ability of artists to run their own communities outside of creation is important.
