The OnchAIn Summer buildathon is being hosted by Devfolio, one of the largest hackathon communities in the world with over 500,000 builders.

Getting grants for your favorite AI application is simple, whether you’re building the next dApp powered by Onchain AI Oracle or a new training model supercharged by Initial Model Offering, we’ve got you covered:

• Rounds grants on /base-builds: Get rewarded for building on base by posting to /base-builds on Warpcast. Share what you’re building and earn a share of up to 5 ETH reward pools every week. Whether it’s apps, creative projects, videos, memes, or something else, no project is too small or too early. A great way to get exposure!

• Rounds grants on /onchainsummer: Get rewarded for posting what you’re building on the superchain in /onchainsummer on Warpcast. Share what you’re building and earn a share of 5000 OP! Don’t forget to #superchain on your post to be eligible.

• Base Builder Grants: Base has awarded close to 300 ETH to date through Builder Grants, and the team has been waiting to see more creativity come onchain. Learn more about Builder Grants and how to apply.

Prize Pools

There are 8 tracks in the main buildathon, with a prize pool of 20 ETH each. In each track, 20 ETH in total rewards will be split between 2-10 winning teams. In addition to the track rewards, there will be a bonus pool of 40 ETH in rewards for successful product integrations (see more below).

There's a 40 ETH bonus pool for builders using these tools to enhance their onchain apps: Coinbase Smart Wallet, Coinbase Verifications, Coinbase Paymaster, and OnchainKit.

Buidlers integrating Smart Wallet can get up to $15k in gas credits through the Base Gasless Campaign and a chance to be featured on the Onchain Summer page in July.

1. DISCOVERY with Fleek: Develop compelling apps using the Onchain Summer Registry that help people find things to do onchain.

   1. Intent-based AI search engine: AI search for applications based on the user’s desired preferences, as specified in natural language. Verifiable AI to avoid exploitation.

2. CREATOR with Zora: Create new and imaginative ways for onchain creativity to thrive with projects that help people create, discover, curate, and collect.

   1. Generative AI for Zora: Project that allows users to mint Stable Diffusion creations directly as AIGC NFTs (ERC-7007) on Zora.

   2. AI NFT Remixer: Use AI image generation to give NFT holders the power to remix and create derivative artworks and characters for their NFT intellectual property. In combination with a programmable IP protocol, like Story Protocol, NFT holders can instantly create extensions of their NFT’s universe and register them as AIGC NFTs (ERC-7007) and IP.

   3. Zora NFT Pricing & Marketplace: Use AI to value Zora NFTs by considering more nuanced, complex information like the sentiment/engagement an artist receives from Zora users. Create a marketplace centered around these valuations to expand on the Zora ecosystem and facilitate more informed, valuation-driven between users.

3. SOCIAL with Farcaster: Bring people together with social experiences that harness the potential of being onchain.

   1. Content Moderator: Neutral, verifiable AI to review content for illegal, malicious or bot activity. AI can setup a strike or block system, while still being decentralized and ‘anti-censorship enough’ to combat bots, scams etc.

   2. DAO Voter Engagement Frame: An AI that summarizes recent proposals for a particular DAO in a Farcaster Frame. The frame then allows a tokenholder to vote accordingly without leaving the app.

   3. AI Insights: A frame that allows a user to ask questions about a specific topic (e.g. the state of crypto, farcaster, onchain summer fastest-growing project, etc.) from an AI primed with a specific expertise or personality. Get creative!

4. GAMING with thirdweb: Build onchain games with a focus on fun and mainstream adoption.

   1. AI Game Mechanics Moderator: AI dynamically adjusts game conditions to maximize desired player outcomes.

   2. AI Referee: AI judges winner/loser based on their unique strategies and creativity; allowing for more nuanced outcomes and PVP interactions.
