3.Āṇavopāya - The way of an Atom
3.1 Ātmā cittam आत्मा चित्तम्॥१॥
The individual Jeeva, the self is Consci0us (cittam).
3.2 jṇānaṃ bandhaḥ ज्ञानं बन्धः ॥२॥
Wisd0m (jṇānaṃ) is like a sutra that binds.
3.3 Kalādīnāṁ tattvānāmaviveko māyā कलादीनां तत्त्वानामविवेको माया॥३॥
Non-distincti0n (avivekaḥ) of principles (tattvā) is like time which is an illusion (māyā).
3.4 Śarīre saṁhāraḥ kalānām शरीरे संहारः कलानाम्॥४॥
Dissoluti0n (saṁhāraḥ) of the parts of the body in time (kalā), such as 5 layers (koshas) is the intial step.
3.5 Nāḍīsaṁhārabhūtajayabhūtakaivalyabhūtapṛthaktvāni
नाडीसंहारभूतजयभूतकैवल्यभूतपृथक्त्वानि॥५॥
Dissolution (saṁhāra) of the vital energy in the subtle channels (Nāḍī) results in conquest of the 5 elements (bhūta), detachment (kaivalya) of mind from the 5 elements & separation (pṛthaktvāni) from the 5 elements results in the pure c0nsci0usness per se.
3.6 Mohāvaraṇātsiddhiḥ मोहावरणात्सिद्धिः॥६॥
Supernatural power (siddhiḥ) occurs because of the veil (āvaraṇāt) created by M0ha Maya.
3.7 Mohajayād anantābhogāt sahajavidyājayaḥ मोहजयादनन्ताभोगात्सहजविद्याजयः॥७॥
Through an all-pervasive conquest of Moha Māyā & infinite (anantā) pleasures (bhogāt ) 0ne attains mastery over natural (sahaja) kn0wledge (vidyā).
3.8 Jāgraddvitīyakaraḥ जाग्रद्द्वितीयकरः॥८॥
When 0ne is awake (Jāgrad), the next is the appearance of ray of sun light (karaḥ).
3.9 Nartaka ātmā नर्तक आत्मा॥९॥
Jeeva Atma, the self is a dancer (Nartaka).
3.10 Raṅgo'ntarātmā रङ्गोऽन्तरात्मा॥१०॥
The stage (raṅgaḥ) is in the interi0r (antar) of the self (Jeeva ātmā).
3.11 Prekṣakāṇīndriyāṇi प्रेक्षकाणीन्द्रियाणि॥११॥
The senses (īndriyāṇi) are the spectat0rs (prekṣakā).
3.12 Dhīvaśātsattvasiddhiḥ धीवशात्सत्त्वसिद्धिः॥१२॥
By means (vaśāt) of higher spiritual intelligence (dhī), there is the realisati0n (siddhiḥ) of pure light & harmony (sattva).
3.13 Siddhaḥ svatantrabhāvaḥ सिद्धः स्वतन्त्रभावः॥१३॥
Siddha is the 0ne who’s nature (bhāvaḥ) is free & a sovereign (svatantra).
3.14 Yathā tatra tathānyatra यथा तत्र तथान्यत्र॥१४॥
As (yathā) ab0ve so (tathā) bel0w.
3.15 Bījāvadhānam बीजावधानम्॥१५॥
Attenti0n (vadhānam) to the seed (Bījā) results in the manifestati0n of the tree.
3.16 Āsanasthaḥ sukhaṁ hrade nimajjati आसनस्थः सुखं ह्रदे निमज्जति॥१६॥
By practising asanas 0ne enjoys by plunging (nimajjati) into the deep lake (hrade) of consci0usness.
3.17 Svamātrānirmāṇamāpādayati स्वमात्रानिर्माणमापादयति॥१७॥
0ne’s own measure (mātrā) determines (nirmāṇam) his creation.
3.18 Vidyāvināśe janmavināśaḥ विद्याविनाशे जन्मविनाशः॥१८॥
Non disappearance of knowledge (vidyā) results in the disappearance of re-births (janma).
3.19 Kavargādiṣu māheśvaryādyāḥ paśumātaraḥ कवर्गादिषु माहेश्वर्याद्याः पशुमातरः॥१९॥
The Energy of Sheva is Devi Maheshwari, Ka group of guteral letters (Kavargā) who is the m0ther (mātaraḥ) of all the animals.
3.20 Triṣu caturthaṁ tailavadāsecyam त्रिषु चतुर्थं तैलवदासेच्यम्॥२०॥
Fourth (caturthaṁ) should be p0ured (āsecyam) into the other three states like oil (taila).
3.21 Magnaḥ svacittena praviśet मग्नः स्वचित्तेन प्रविशेत्॥२१॥
One should enter (praviśet) by being immersed (magnaḥ) into one's own consci0usness (cittena).
3.22 Prāṇasamācāre samadarśanam प्राणसमाचारे समदर्शनम्॥२२॥
With the practice (samācāre) of prana 0ne will treat all life forms with equity.
3.23 Madhye'varaprasavaḥ मध्येऽवरप्रसवः॥२३॥
In the middle space between higher & lower worlds., there is a inferior state (avara) generati0n (prasavaḥ) which is a blend of both.
3.24 Mātrāsvapratyayasandhāne naṣṭasya punarutthānam
मात्रास्वप्रत्ययसन्धाने नष्टस्य पुनरुत्थानम्॥२४॥
Uni0n (sandhāne) of 0neś own c0ncept, experience & awareness (pratyaya) with the measure of time (Mātrā) is the act of bringing back (punarutthānam), resurrecting the lost (naṣṭasya).
3.25 Śivatulyo jāyate शिवतुल्यो जायते॥२५॥
0ne becomes like Sheva.
3.26 Śarīravṛttirvratam शरीरवृत्तिर्व्रतम्॥२६॥
Awareness of the body is a tapas (vratam).
3.27 Kathā japaḥ कथा जपः॥२७॥
Conversati0n (Kathā) is prayer like the dialogue between Sheva & Sakti.
3.28 Dānamātmajñānam दानमात्मज्ञानम्॥२८॥
Wisd0m of the Jeeva, the self is a gift (dānam) to others.
3.29 Yo'vipastho jñāhetuśca योऽविपस्थो ज्ञाहेतुश्च॥२९॥
0ne who is inspired (vipastha) by wisd0m (jñā), is also the proof (hetuḥ) of it as well.
3.30 Svaśaktipracayo'sya viśvam स्वशक्तिप्रचयोऽस्य विश्वम्॥३०॥
The expansion (pracaya) of the universe (viśvam) is the result of 0neś own power.
3.31 Sthitilayau स्थितिलयौ॥३१॥
Maintenance (sthitil) and dissolution (layau) of life.
3.32 Tatpravṛttāvapyanirāsaḥ saṁvettṛbhāvāt तत्प्रवृत्तावप्यनिरासः संवेत्तृभावात्॥३२॥
The desire (anirāsaḥ) & action (pravṛtta) of this world both 0rginates (bhāvāt) from a c0nscious being (saṁvettṛ).
3.33 Sukhaduḥkhayorbahirmananam सुखदुःखयोर्बहिर्मननम्॥३३॥
The feeling of pain & pleasure is outside (bahir) the deep reflecti0n (mananam ) of consci0usness.
3.34 Tadvimuktastu kevalī तद्विमुक्तस्तु केवली॥३४॥
Liberated (vimukta) from this world 0ne knows past, present & future (kevalī).
3.35 Mohapratisaṁhatastu karmātmā मोहप्रतिसंहतस्तु कर्मात्मा॥३५॥
0ne whose character is based 0nly on action (karmā) just like a soldier who has’’t got a clue for what he is fighting for is in sync with the delusion. (Moha Maya).
3.36 Bhedatiraskāre sargāntarakarmatvam भेदतिरस्कारे सर्गान्तरकर्मत्वम्॥३६॥
Disappearance (tiraskāre) of the differentiati0n (Bheda), paves the way for another (antara) creati0n (sarga).
3.37 Karaṇaśaktiḥ svato'nubhavāt करणशक्तिः स्वतोऽनुभवात्॥३७॥
0neś own creative power (śaktiḥ) is based on his own experience (anubhavāt).
3.38 Tripadādyanuprāṇanam त्रिपदाद्यनुप्राणनम्॥३८॥
The 3 parts commences the animation (anuprāṇanam) of the life essence.
3.39 Cittasthitivaccharīrakaraṇabāhyeṣu चित्तस्थितिवच्छरीरकरणबाह्येषु॥३९॥
0bserving external 0bjects (bāhyeṣu) by the sense organs (karaṇa) of the body is same as being in a state (sthiti) of c0nsciousness (citta).
3.40 Abhilāṣādbahirgatiḥ saṁvāhyasya अभिलाषाद्बहिर्गतिः संवाह्यस्य॥४०॥
The outward (bahir) expression of the desires (abhilāṣā) paves way for the rebirths.
3.41 Tadārūḍhapramitestatkṣayājjīvasaṅkṣayaḥ तदारूढप्रमितेस्तत्क्षयाज्जीवसङ्क्षयः॥४१॥
Established (arūḍha) in transcendental spiritual kn0wledge (pramite) results in the complete loss (kṣayāt) of pain (saṅkṣayaḥ) of the self.(jeeva)
3.42 Bhūtakañcukī tadā vimukto bhūyaḥ patisamaḥ paraḥ
भूतकञ्चु की तदा विमुक्तो भूयः पतिसमः परः॥४२॥
0ne who is liberated (vimukto) from the shell (kañcukī) of 5 gross elements (bhūta) is very much (bhūyaḥ) equal (samaḥ) to the sovereign.
3.43 Naisargikaḥ prāṇasambandhaḥ नैसर्गिकः प्राणसम्बन्धः॥४३॥
C0nnecti0n (sambandhaḥ) with breath of life essence is natural (naisargikaḥ).
3.44 Nāsikāntarmadhyasaṁyamāt kimatra savyāpasavyasauṣumneṣu
नासिकान्तर्मध्यसंयमात् किमत्र सव्यापसव्यसौषुम्नेषु॥४४॥
C0ncentrating (saṁyamāt) the senses in the inner aspect (āntar) of the middle (madhya), 0ne will experience prana sakthi of what (kim) there is (atra) in the middle channel susumma (ṣumneṣu) not in the right (apasavya) or left (savya).
3.45 Bhūyaḥ syātpratimīlanam भूयः स्यात्प्रतिमीलनम्॥४५॥
There is multitude (Bhūyaḥ) of chances (syāt) just before closing of the eyes (mīlanam).

3.46 Bargobhāvaḥ chiṭmananam भर्गो॑भावः र्चित्तमननम् ॥४६॥
The nature (bhāvaḥ) of light (Bargo) is same as deep reflective (mananam) c0nsciousness (chiṭ).
