1. Executive Summary

Project Dark Eye is a multi-phase project with planned launches of multiple NFT collections on Ethereum that form an ecosystem in the virtual world (DEYE-Universe). DEYE token is the utility token for the platform with 70% of the total supply reserved for community rewards.

The Machines is an NFT collection launching in Phase 1. The Machine holders are granted DEYE token rewards daily and guaranteed mint of all subsequent NFT collection sales.

The Commanders is an NFT collection launching in Phase 2. The Commanders is a collection of 10000+ 3D avatars with over 200 traits. Every day, the Commanders grow in stats/traits, and the Commander holders receive random loot from Commander explorations.

The Planets is an NFT collection launching in Phase 2 as one of the Commander exploration loots. All Planets are rewards for Commander holders. The launch also comes with the Base System which is the first utility of the Planets.

The Team has plans or has work in progress on more loot types, more Planet utilities and an immersive experience application.

2. DEYE-Universe

It is Year 6069. The Masters of Project Dark Eye traveled through Portal P-8371 and landed in this new universe. They abided by the Project Act and named it DEYE-Universe. Within the next 6 earth-months, they discovered the very first planet in DEYE-Universe, and completed the HQ construction and portal establishment there. Now is the time for the next phase.

DEYE-Universe is the virtual world setting for all the Project Dark Eye experience.

3. DEYE Token

DEYE token will be an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain, with a fixed total supply of 10,000,000,000.

Reward the Community

DEYE tokens are rewarded to Project Dark Eye NFT holders on a daily basis. 70% of the total supply is allocated for the reward pool.

Marketplace Transactions

In the Marketplace, users may spend DEYE tokens to buy items from other users and to be part of the experience built by other users.

Transaction Fee Model

A 5% transaction fee is applied in the Marketplace. 100% of the transaction fees are added to the reward pool.

Governance

DEYE token allows holders to participate in Governance decisions of the project, using a DAO structure. They can exercise their voting rights on key decisions like roadmap prioritization.

Liquidity

2% of the total supply is reserved for liquidity management. The team does not plan to provide liquidity for DEYE tokens until the Marketplace launch.

4. The Machines

The Machines is the first NFT collection to be launched. This collection will be deployed on Ethereum as ERC-721 tokens. This collection is created to benefit our early supporter community. There are a total supply of 1422 Machines across 3 different tiers. The first 300 Machines minted are Gold Machines. The next 1000 Machines minted are Silver Machines. And the remaining Machines minted are Black Machines. All Machines will be sold at 0.03 ETH and our early supporters will be able to mint first.

Benefits of holding a Machine

• Machine holders are rewarded with DEYE tokens every 24 hours.
  • Gold Machine holders are rewarded with 0.00005% of the remaining reward pool per Gold Machine held every 24 hours.
  • Silver Machine holders are rewarded with 0.00002% of the remaining reward pool per Silver Machine held every 24 hours.
  • Black Machine holders are rewarded with 0.000005% of the remaining reward pool per Black Machine held every 24 hours.
• All 1422 Machines grant holders guaranteed mint of at least one NFTs in all the subsequent projects by Project Dark Eye at a discounted price (or prioritized mint if the total supply is less than 1422). The exact numbers are decided on a per-project basis.
• Exclusive airdrops, giveaways, and events.

5. The Commanders

The Commanders is a collection of 6666 3D avatars deployed on Ethereum as ERC-721 tokens. Each avatar in the collection represents a commander in DEYE-Universe. Each commander will experience different events, grow in different directions and change DEYE-Universe in a unique way.

Every 24 hours, every Commander is dispatched to an exploration, without any operations needed from the owner address. Through each exploration, Commanders gain experience, grow in different traits, and receive loot (items, equipment, planets) from battles and discoveries. On a daily basis, the Commander NFTs have their stats/traits updated and the holders are rewarded with the loot NFTs.

Each Commander has a unique 3D avatar, with 200+ Visual Traits in the whole collection. These Visual Traits only decide the appearance of the Commanders.

All Commanders have the same starting Ability Traits. The Ability Traits grow through daily explorations, and the daily exploration results are impacted by the Ability Traits. Project Dark Eye Team is committed to make it equal across all Commanders in terms of the utility.

Commander NFT holders are also rewarded with a portion of the remaining reward pool every 24 hours. The exact portion number will be announced once the total supply of the Commanders is finalized.

6. The Planets

Planet is the “Land” equivalent in DEYE-Universe. Planet #0 is where the Project Dark Eye HQ is at and is owned by Project Dark Eye Team. 100% of the remaining Planet supply will be rewarded to the Commander holders through Commander explorations.

Each Commander has one base in one of the discovered DEYE-Universe planets. The base is where the Commander is dispatched from on daily explorations. Explorations dispatched from Planets closer to the undiscovered space in DEYE-Universe have a high chance of discovering new Planets and receiving new loot. All Commanders have base on Planet #0 at the beginning. Through the platform on our website, Planet holders are able to enable/disable their planets for re-base at a price they set, and Commander holders are able to re-base each of their Commanders to a re-base-enabled planet at the price set.

Planets have built-in utilities and customizable utilities. Base System is one of the built-in utilities. More utilities will be announced from the team.

7. The Marketplace

There are going to be more types of loot (other than Planets) that Commander holders will receive through Commander explorations. The Marketplace will launch on our website for trading all types of loot using DEYE token. More details will be announced in the next version of the whitepaper.

8. The World by Project Dark Eye

The goal of this working title is to provide an immersive social experience not only for the existing NFT holders but also to the broader social media consumers. Crypto will not be a barrier for anyone to experience the World, to create personal experience, or to access any social features, but it will be the way to trade items and to trade experience. All the existing holders will get a head start in this metaverse. The first application will be an Unreal Engine PC application. Development is currently underway.

9. Timeline

Phase 1 (2022 April)

• The Machines collection and the DEYE token are deployed.
• As soon as a Machine is minted, its daily DEYE token reward starts.
• The Machine holders are able to check DEYE balance and claim DEYE tokens from the website (with only gas fee).

Phase 2 (2022 May/June)

• The Commanders collection is deployed.
• As soon as a Commander is minted, its daily DEYE token reward starts.
• Right after the Commanders minting is completed,
  • The Commander exploration starts on a daily basis. This means that the Commander holders start to receive Planets from explorations. The Commander holders are able to claim the loot NFTs from the website (with only gas fee).
  • Planet Base System launches. Planet holders are able to enable/disable the rebase feature on their planets and set a price for Commanders to rebase to the planet (with only gas fee). Commander holders are able to rebase each of their Commanders onto another discovered Planet that has the rebase feature enabled, at a price set by Planet holder (plus gas fee).

Phase 3 (2022 June/July)

• More loot items become available to claim from explorations.
• More Planet utilities are available.
• The Marketplace launches.
• More details on Phase 3 will be revealed in the next version of the whitepaper.

Phase 4 (2022 H2)

• The World V1 alpha testing launches. More details will be revealed in a future version of the whitepaper.

10. A Personal Note

I am Mas. As a founder of the project, I have always been passionate about building the very best consumer experience with innovations and leverages on the latest technology. Being in the tech world for a decade in the silicon valley, I started as a software engineer at Google where I helped build a planet-scale security platform for Google’s enterprise clients. I left Google in a few years with the mindset to change the consumer world, to build something that every single individual could enjoy. I joined as a founding engineer in a tech startup and helped build a hundreds-of-millions-of-dollar business in the space of consumer online shopping experience. Over the last few years, I have been amazed by the Crypto/NFT community, excited by the possibilities of the Web3 technologies while at the same time seeing a lack of technical capabilities in many projects. So here I am now. In 2021, I started on Project Dark Eye, with the vision to innovate, to create, to explore all the possibilities in this space with the community.
