When we first arrived at this strange, beautiful place, we were a mere handful of straggly vagabonds, half-dead of thirst. Having become utterly resigned an entire lifetime ago, it was nothing but our lack of fear that compelled us forward into the unknown- and when we arrived at the gates of this metropolis, we were practically invisible.
