Frens

Over the coming weeks, the Frens team expects to continue to build out features for the platform agents, including the ability to pull in live data from the web, post to X and be trained by simply supplying links to websites.

What does this mean for re.al?

Many components of Frens, including the native token FREN, were built on top of existing Pearl infrastructure. This article from Pearl provides a comprehensive summary on the integration. In short, FREN is a wrapped derivative of PEARL and a token sink for current and future DEX emissions.

“Pearl’s integration with Fens takes the ve(3,3) mechanic to new heights, deeply integrating an emissions token into the operations of a completely unique onchain application.”

If Frens is successful in driving new users to the chain (top of funnel user acquisition), we expect that growth in new onchain users to also correlate with increased emissions value on Pearl and improved liquidity conditions on re.al. This benefits the current ecosystem protocols and token holders.

Additionally, Frens brings a new dynamic to the chain, broadening the focus to include an emphasis on SocialFi and AI, hyped categories and functional difference makers. The success of Frens would certainly impact the chain’s product roadmap for the next 12 months, helping shape the product and narrative experience on re.al.
