Why the Rekt Chickens?

We want to onboard new members from every chain in our coop that will help us in our mission to not get Rekt.

By building a collective for sharing and organizing information, ideas and research, we increase the likelihood of making informed decisions that lead to successful outcomes. Alone, in this crypto world you are vulnerable, but together we are stronger.

Why a free mint?

Our goal is to bring more community members into the Rekt Gang, hence we are doing a free mint as there are no financial barriers of entry.

We also believe that recent NFT mints extracted a lot of liquidity out of the NFT holders and didn’t bring much value. We want to bring back the fun to NFT minting!

The Art

We think laughter is a great way to deal with being Rekt (for some).

The chickens are fun pixel art characters with 2 body sizes, a variety of amusing traits, and some very special combinations.

Innovations

At Rekt Gang we like to push the boundaries of what’s done in Web3. This mint will feature 3 distinct innovations:

• First mint to be using Stargaze’s delayed reveal mechanic

• First mint to be a 10K PFP on Polygon using delayed reveal and on-chain storage

• First mint to coordinate reveal on 3 separate chains.

Mint contingencies

WL allocation

• We have decided to WL entire NFT communities as we want to onboard real members into Rekt Gang.

• We believe this approach is fair for all, and saves folks from unnecessary WL grinding.

• Keep in mind if you hold multiple projects in the same wallet, you are only entitled to 1 NFT free mint. If you also hold a Rekt Gang NFT, you are only entitled to the Rekt Gang holders mint.

• It is very hard for us to predict how many Rekt Gang NFT holders will be minting their allocation, as some of the biggest holders have left the NFT space (post Terra collapse).

• It is also hard for us to predict how many frens will mint, since we WListed entire communities some of them may be on AFK, or just unaware that they are entitled for a free mint.

• Any remaining supply after Rekt Gang holders, and Rekt frens phase will be minted by Rekt DAO. There will be no public, as we do NOT want to be botted.

Coordination between 3 chains

• To our knowledge, this is a first in space where the reveal will happen simultaneously on 3 completely distinct chains: Polygon, Stargaze and Solana. We hope to ensure a smooth reveal, as we want to be fair to all holders, BUT it is possible that there may be a disconnect as we are working with 3 different launchpads.

• Be also mindful of all future integrations, we want to be as fair to everyone as possible, but sometimes it is out of our control.
