The composition of the SEED Latam delegates vote

This article is a brief explanation of the composition of the SEED Latam delegates' vote. For further details on the history of SEED Latam's consensus, its successes and challenges, and a more in-depth analysis, we will soon be publishing a more extensive article.

Generally, delegates in Web3 governance forums act on their own behalf when reviewing, assessing, and voting on proposals. Other delegates represent companies, protocols, or even other governance organizations.

In our case, our delegates represent the SEED Latam community. We made this decision during our first foray into governance with delegate Joxes on Optimism.

In each community governance call, 1 POAP is given to participating attendees. During these calls, an overview of each vote is provided, along with the context of the proposal, and discussions are held regarding approval, rejection, or abstention. These POAPs constitute the voting power of each wallet. Wallets holding these POAPs are part of the whitelist enabled to vote on our Snapshot profile.

The SEED Latam community's vote is the vote that delegates execute in governance.

How can I obtain voting power to vote?

You can obtain voting power through the POAPs distributed to attendees of SEED Latam's community governance calls. These are announced through our official channels. There is no fixed schedule for governance calls. This is because the pace of each DAO varies, and we usually convene governance calls when temperature checks or proposals that need to be voted on arise.
