I am S.Rodan.
I am Anonimleşmek.

I write stories and use AI, Deconstruction and experimental techniques.

I concoct new worlds because ours suck.

I studied Engineering and dropped out.

I studied Arts x Design and graduated.

How and Why?

During my time in europe, i have found that i was infatuated with the ideas and aesthetics of Bauhaus, De Stijl and learned a new way of living. This moved me to change my major, and become an Artist/Designer.

I have seen people live empty lives, enact no change upon the blue rock we reside in. I needed the self expression and to find the extraordinary in the ordinary.

My journey in CryptoArt began on 29th of May 2021, with the booming Hic Et Nunc. I minted my experiments in painting, book cover, photomanipulation and moving images.

I was only S.Rodan then, Anonimleşmek, to become anonymous, was the main goal. It is a holy idea, to become the everyday object of power. To cross the barrier from material to the ideal would be challenging.

Then came De Stijl Housing Corp. The ideal world to challenge the broken modern architecture. A set of 12 impossible building illustrations continued and turned into a universe that contained a sense of dystopian happiness.

I stopped minting my works. I was not happy. I needed to find myself before i would become the dystopia itself. I experimented with various styles until i found my home.

What influences me?

My main influences, stylistically are Theo van Doesburg and Barbara Kruger. Dark psychological de stijl is what i could sum myself up with.

My philosophical influences diverge vastly. The three pillars i put my back on are Baudrillard, Deleuze and Sartre. Feeding upon their thoughts i embraced the simulacra, and became one.

I also get influenced by music, especially experimental sounds of Death Grips, JPEGMAFIA and Have a Nice Life. The raw, violent emotions and the introspective lyrics have ingrained themselves onto my soul.

What’s the end goal?

To make humans see one of many paths that we can take, a horrible one.

Why so Edgy?

To use my full capability and my best artistic output, i’ve seen that going to my mind’s darkest places helps me tremendously. It’s both a way of healing and a way of coping with the world.

A Case for S.Rodan Art

Art is, in it’s most basic essence, is to convey a message. Paradoxically, the lack of messaging may as well be a message in itself, creating an ouroboros of art, puking and eating itself. There have been many unsolved messages in my prior works; some guiding you to the light, some misleading and some succumbing into darkness.

The works affect one another, just like the blocks of the chain. Every action regarding a 1/1 art token effects another, prior to minting. It is not the great chain of being, but the great chain of art.

The mix of Deconstruction, 80’s 8-bit craze, typography and the ideals of De Stijl flow through the machinery of S.Rodan, gets churned into the unholy goo, and molded into a beautiful scene.

Whether AI-Assistance, Abstract Evil Megacorporations or Psychological 8-Bit Chopping, the soul of S.Rodan and Anonimleşmek merge and create ripples around it.

There has been always a paradox, or a duality, or a dilemma in the works i have touched. They are in the search for themselves and their salvation. You’re cordially invited to be a part, or to be a silent watcher in their journey.
