when you're a creative working a 9-5 job, 5 days a week, how do you juggle it all? want to have a social life? another ball to juggle. want to stay fit? add another thing. dating? another ball. family? add another.

the past month has been a bit of an internal roller coaster. a lot of sources of stress from my personal life seemed to almost wash away with the musical deluge in my creative life.

it’s my first NFT drop in a matter of days. and to keep myself busy during the build-up, i’ve been answering the question ‘why web3?’.

if you’re new here; welcome. and if you’re not, you might know that i’m releasing my first song on the blockchain in just under a week.

so in 1 week, i’m releasing my first song on chain. whilst i count down the days i thought i’d shed some light some light into why web3? starting with reason 1; connection:

how do we, as musicians, weigh our work? the number of streams we have? how many impressions each social media post gets? how many followers we have emblazoned at the top of our Spotify profiles?

this is an introduction into me, into simmerdown, and the creative journey i’ve experienced in both so far. i hope you enjoy reading and get a bit of me in the process xx
