☆ Major updates

The introduction of MetaMask into the Stargaze NFT marketplace represents a significant step forward in expanding the functionality and accessibility of our platform.

According to a report by EarthWeb, “There are more than 21 million monthly active users of Metamask” (Source: link).

The Leap Wallet team played a pivotal role in this integration by creating a Cosmos Snap. This Snap enables users to utilize their MetaMask wallets for signing transactions seamlessly.

Squid router Integration: Squid’s arrival in the Cosmos ecosystem enables cross-chain token swaps among an impressive 48 Cosmos chains and the 14 EVM chains it already supports. Users can now effortlessly transfer and convert a variety of tokens within and across the Cosmos and EVM ecosystems.

The integration with Stargaze is particularly significant, allowing seamless navigation between Ethereum and Stargaze, bridging the gap between these ecosystems and simplifying cross-chain interoperability.

September marked a significant milestone as we celebrated the minting of 1 million NFTs. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the creators who contributed to this remarkable achievement.

A community vote took place where Stargaze competed against Base, an Ethereum Layer 2 solution incubated by Coinbase, represents a significant milestone in their multichain journey. Notably, Stargaze secured an overwhelming majority in the vote, reflecting our robust infrastructure, active community, and shared vision for the future of NFTs. We’re eager to collaborate with the Rekt Gang community to create exciting opportunities for our users and the broader NFT community.

The Stargaze team successfully resolved a rarity issue with Racoon NFTs stemming from the Secret to Stargaze migration. Initially, Racoon NFTs had a custom rarity metric on Secret, while Stargaze employed a more universal rarity metric commonly used in the world of NFTs.

This universal metric assigns more rarity points to less frequent attributes within a collection. To ensure a fair representation of rarity, the Stargaze team made adjustments, particularly regarding the “style” trait, which was deemed purely aesthetic. These adjustments on Stargaze balanced the rarity points assigned to attributes, resolving the discrepancy and aligning the rarity metric more closely with the NFT industry standard.

Passed Prop #221: Stargaze Proposal: Deploying Interchain NFT Contracts (aka Outgoing Proxy and ICS721 Contracts)

• This proposal allows the deployment of critical contracts essential for interchain NFT transfers across Stargaze, Juno, and Terra.

Passed Prop #220: Reduce Auctions Extend Duration

• This proposal reduces the extend duration live auction bid time from 15 minutes to 5.

Passed Prop #219: IBC Minter Fees

• IBC Minter gives an opportunity to create a new fee structure. The Stargaze team would like to propose the following:

1. 50% of the IBC Minter fees go to the Stargaze Foundation.

2. 50% of the IBC Minter fees are used to buy STARS back and burn them.

Failed Prop #223: Bootstrapping the STARS pool on Cosmos Millions Community Pool Spend Proposal

• 8M STARS to bootstrap Cosmos Millions STARS pool, which will be staked: stake rewards used as prizes.

Passed Prop #217: Liquid Stake the OSMO in the Community Pool

• Liquid stake 246,805 OSMO tokens from Stargaze’s community pool into stOSMO, allowing these assets to earn rewards while remaining liquid and contributing to Osmosis chain security.
